Great weekend at Auckland View
Our stay at Auckland View was brilliant. The property is really spacious, well decorated, comfortable and clean. We loved the view out the back over the fields. Communication regarding checking etc was great. We were visiting friends who live in the area, so the location was perfect for us.

The only road to park outside was in such poor condition that it damaged the car driving on it.

Ideal for what we needed. Just 10 mins away from the leisure centre which was the venue we needed to travel to. Good val
Beautifully decorated, spacious and well equipped. You could easily stay a week or 2 here with a family. Comfy beds and the top floor whilst we didn’t use it has beautiful views as do all the bedrooms. Nice enclosed back garden. Great that there is parking for 2 x cars comfortably. Parking outside available too - just politely park outside the house and not someone elses.
For those who are elderly or with mobility issues might not be suitable as the stairs are steep and the bathroom is upstairs - no downstairs loo. The owner did warn us which was great and this isn’t anything they can help. But the road leading to the property is quite bumpy with a lot of pot holes. Make sure you take their advice and approach using route B which is less bumpy. If you have a low down car just go slow.

Very comfy stay - better than hotel as we could be together as a family.
A very good location for the castle, Kynren and the miners museum. The owner emailed with a booklet of useful information such as things to do and places to eat . The owner had clearly put a lot of love and attention into decorating and refurbing the house. It was very clean and pleasant.

Perfect for our trip to the north east, east reach to Durham by car
The house was clean , really well maintained and well furnished, kitchen had every appliance and gadget needed, rear patio and view was a great bonus and private…. Perfect
