Unless you absolutely need a higher floor and/or a balcony, I recommend the Smiling Loft studio for a single person, couple or even a small group. If you go in hotter weather, this ground-floor studio stays cooler and there’s a built-in heat exchange air conditioner (heats and cools). If you know the Garbatella area, you know the location is excellent There’s a set of exterior stone stairs (with a wheelchair platform stairlift) to walk up to get to a terrace level. You enter the studio through your own small walled terrace on this level. There's a table and chairs, as well as a washing machine with (it’s very common in Italy for washing machines to be outdoors on balconies and terraces). Smiling Loft provides what you need immediately; olive oil, coffee pods, salt, cool water in the fridge, etc. but also provides "extras" in case you forgot your toothbrush, etc.. The studio itself is laid out and decorated nicely, with the bed in a nook. The studio’s exposure is east, so sunlight comes flooding in in the morning but the nook is protected from that direct sunlight. Everything in the separate kitchen is laid out in a sensible way. There’s even a drawer under the sink with bins for separating your garbage. The separate bathroom has a large walk-in shower and hot water arrives instantly.

I found this flat very comfortable and easy to live in but if you don't like the ground floor, this won't be your best choice.

Il soggiorno è stato piacevole ed accogliente. La proprietaria mi ha accolto personalmente per consegnarmi le chiavi e accompagnarmi durante il check-in. Ho apprezzato molto la presenza di sale, aceto, zucchero, ed olio in cucina e le stoviglie essenziali. Mi è piaciuto l'angolino dei libri e la possibilità di portarne uno a casa. Molto carina l'idea di poter lasciare una dedica. Mi ha fatto piacere trovare delle cialdine di caffè e bustine di tè. La proprietaria mi ha lasciato dei gadget e un cestino con le cose essenziali e monouso: ciabattine, spazzola,ago e filo, rasoio, dentifricio e spazzolino, cuffia per capelli. La zona è molto silenziosa. Nelle vicinanze c'è un bar e anche un economico negozio alimentare. Però a due passi c'è pure la catena di Eataly.

Ho solo dei suggerimenti: aggiungere dello scottex o dei tovaglioli in cucina, una mensolina nella doccia per non appoggiare le proprie cose a terra e un liquido antizanzare. Sarebbe piacevole vedere il giardinetto più curato. Rinfrescherei i cuscini delle sedie e i copridivani.
