I’d like to start on a positive note. The neighborhood is very quiet, which we truly appreciated. We tend to enjoy peaceful environments, so it was refreshing to stay somewhere without constant noise like motorcycles or passing traffic. The mattress was extremely comfortable—perfectly firm, which made for great sleep. That was definitely a highlight of our stay. It truly was a highlight of my stay! I have a horrible time sleeping and this mattress was elite! I did try to look up the mattress to buy one- sadly they don't make that line anymore! So you can imagine how nice it was if I'm trying to buy one for myself! Plenty of sitting room! I really liked the kitchen chairs and table. Thank you for providing ice cube trays! I like cold water so that was nice to have! The main tv is large! Very nice! My travel companion liked the sound bar, we looked into buying one for ourselves. It was nice to have access to a variety of apps to sign into and use while we stayed! We certainly made use of the TVs while we were hunkered down during our one cold day and in the evenings. We made use of the quiet and safe neighborhood by going on walks in the evening! No one appeared concerned with us walking in the neighborhood. There were some other people out walking their dogs. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer in the house, which we made good use of during our visit. As a fun bonus, we had a visit from some chickens, and there were squirrels around that kept us entertained. It was nice to have a tv in the master, that isn't frequently found so that was much appreciated as I did not wish to watch sports my entire stay and I could go to the bedroom and watch something else. Overall, while there were some enjoyable aspects of the stay—particularly the quiet location and comfortable bed—there are quite a few maintenance, comfort, and transparency issues that should be addressed to improve the guest experience.
Areas for Improvement There were several issues that impacted our overall experience: Pet Fee Transparency The pet fee of $272 for 6 nights (about $46/day) felt excessive. Additionally, this fee was not disclosed upfront—we only learned about it after booking and arriving. It would be much better to include this clearly during the booking process so guests understand the full cost in advance. Water Quality The water had a noticeable fishy smell and taste. While my travel companion didn’t notice it, I did—even while sick—which made it difficult to use. Bringing or providing drinking water is highly recommended. Maintenance Issues The remote in the master bedroom didn’t work (likely needs batteries). Several light fixtures need attention: Hallway light flickers or may need replacing Lamp near the chair flickers excessively The heat lamp/light in the master bedroom is not functioning. Closet doors in the master bedroom are improperly installed. The back left stove burner does not light. TV color settings need adjustment, and it’s unclear which remote belongs to which TV. Kitchen & Supplies Cookware is minimal and incomplete (missing lids for most pots). Kitchen sink drains very slowly and requires frequent use of the garbage disposal. Water pressure in the kitchen is low. Sponge provided for dishwashing becomes unhygienic over multiple days without replacement. We ran out of facial tissue and had to purchase more ourselves. No vacuum available, leading to noticeable dust buildup under beds. Comfort & Temperature Bedrooms heat well, but the living room and kitchen remain very cold. No throw blankets were provided, which would have helped during colder mornings and evenings. Only two pillows per bed were provided, which may not be sufficient for multiple guests. Bathroom Concerns Shower heads are installed very low (difficult for anyone taller than ~5'3"). Outdoor & Amenities Sliding glass doors lack functioning screens.
