About this cabin rental
This little one-room cabin is ADORABLE! It has everything you need (and nothing you don't) for a quiet getaway to fill your soul. It has lots of light from large windows looking out at the woods and the Amnicon River valley, and access to hiking trails and our large private sandy beach on the South Shore of Lake Superior.
Here are a few things you'll want to know before you book this cabin:
- The cabin is clean, comfortable, and elegant, but still quite rustic. The cabin is available year-round, with a propane fireplace for your main source of heat. It has electricity, but no running water. In the kitchenette is a water dispenser for washing & drinking. Adjacent to the cabin is your own private low-odor outhouse that has a little heater and a light you can turn on from inside the cabin. Just a one-minute walk from the cabin is the main lodge, which has public restrooms for showers and flushing toilets.
- There is no drive-in access to this cabin. You can unload your vehicle about a one or two-minute walk from the cabin. We offer hand carts and/or utility sleds for bringing luggage to the cabin. The cabin is down a slight hill from the unloading area. After you've unloaded your vehicle, we'll ask you to park your car back in the parking lot along the side of the road.

Had an awesome time, enjoyed the quiet, woods, trail and especially the sauna. Gave 4 stars for clean only because tray in toaster oven had dried food crumbs, otherwise everything else was great .

We do a lot of camping, so this cabin suited us well while we were visiting for a family wedding. Functional and simple!

Tjos was a getaway with our 2 adult daughters & their families over MEA so we rented all three cabins Gratitude, Quietude, and Solitude. The cabins appear to be quite new with large windows to bring in light and views of the surrounding trees, comfortable beds, and a propane-fueled Franklin stove-type fireplace fpr jeat. We knew in advance that there was no wi-fi at the cabins, but we were dismayed to find out that there's no cell-phone service! One of our daughters (a small- usiness owner) had a important business phone call scheduled for our 2nd day. We also knew in advance that there were no picnic tables provided for the cabins, so we all brought our own folding tables & camp cahirs to be able to enjoy eaing our meals together outside. My husband and i brought a prepared stew to reheat in our slow-cooker for one familymeal, and a daughter brought her "camp kitchen" equipment to cook other meals outdoors and for easier clean-up afterwards than trying to use the tiny sinks in the cabins.
