Welcome to this Brand New Farmhouse in the historic town of Mount Vernon. We are Centrally located just minutes from Kenyon College, and Mount Vernon Nazarene University.We are just a short drive to Granville, Amish Country and Mohican State Park. Our welcoming, open floor plan, is fully equipped with a kitchen, family room, and two bedrooms. with two full bathrooms. Enjoy your beautiful home whether you are reclining watching your 65" Smart TV, or relaxing watching your Starfire Glass fireplace. Weather in town on business, visiting kids in college, or simply looking for a escape this surprise gem will definitely be your home away from home!!

We will be visiting the area 2-3 times a year for the next 6 years. So we are motivated to find good options. No red flags at all. We were not there much, so hard say what we would change.

Overall, enjoyed the property and thought it was very tastefully decorated. Only minor issue was that due to renovation/construction occurring next door, observed male construction worker urinating several feet from kitchen window on multiple occasions (while directly facing window). Would suggest installing curtains/blinds on window by kitchen sink.

This is the 2nd time staying at this property. Home is very clean and everything is updated. Super location! The only thing to consider is that the master bedroom has the a/c unit right outside the house and it gets loud when it runs. Not a deal breaker...just info for renters as the rest of the house is super quiet!

We were pleasantly surprised at the size, as it was more spacious than it looked in the photos. It was spotlessly clean and smelled pleasant upon entering. The house is in a quiet residential neighborhood in a cute little town, which we also appreciated. It's nice that the master bedroom is at the opposite end of the house from the other bedroom. The light switches are really oddly wired though. The master bedroom overhead light switch is in the master bathroom, and the switches for the kitchen & entry overhead lights is around the corner by the other bathroom - so far around the corner that you can't see any of the lights while using the switches, so you have to walk back and forth to see what switch controls what. An automatic porch light would be nice for accessing the lockbox at night. We were attending the Inkarcarciration festival in Mansfield all weekend, so we weren't getting back to the house until after midnight each night. The sleek look of no handles on the kitchen cabinetry photographs well, but push to open springs need installed when there are no handles, as it was awkward trying to pry things open. A kettle in the kitchen would be helpful for morning tea drinkers. We had to boil our water in a pan, making pouring the boiling water into a mug a risky endeavor for sleepy guests in need of caffeine.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Place worked out well for us as two adult couples. Property was spacious and description matched the property. No washer and dryer but that was not in the listing and we verified in advance so not a surprise and we packed accordingly. The internet went out and back a few times a day. Not a big issue as we were just visiting with family. Only TV was in living room which was a little disappointing as our son and daughter-in-law are earlier to bed than us and we did not want to bother them with TV noise. Light switch map might be a good idea! :) Good communication.

The space was beautifully decorated with everything we could possibly need. The holiday cheer we experienced was automatic, each time we came home for the evening we were happy. The hosts were available for every question and none of us wanted to leave. It was a graduation celebration and it was a 6 minute drive to Kenyon and 2 minutes from The Alcove (favorite dining spot).
