Cavendish Cat and Gaming House

Great location , clean and comfortable room and great hosts ! Free on road parking and tram just down the road! Lots of cat cuddles and free use of the kitchen. Netflix and gaming room for chill time ! What's not to like !

Cats!! Just cats!! 😻 my room was lovely. & clean. TV big & worked well with Netflix. Hosts were polite & friendly. Worth a visit fully recommended

Kitchen area & cat biscuits strewn about & the cats water dirty with food in & was cloudy but cats are messy! My daughter was happy to replace the water for them and brush up excess biscuits etc. Sink area wasn't clean but I believe hosts work all day so thats understandable. Didn't give a good first impression but we were there for the cats & didn't use any of the gaming facilities so it's not a problem.

Cats are cute, friendly. The downstairs cinema room felt cozy and nice. It was kind of the host to say the kitchen is free to use even though I didn't use it. Clean enough bathroom, corridors and stairs. Best part for me was the cinema room but I just think unless you stay in all day or night then you dont have time to play games or watch films anyway. I go to stay in places just for a comfy bedroom really.

I wasn't really fussed on the other room for games as it had kids toys in rather than looking like it was clean and ready for just the guests. Obviously its their house so I get that. I just think, because I've stayed in other places before, this place felt a bit too much like someone else's house that I was invading, rather than a hotel type or B&B type vibe. My room also was not as nice as the room my sister and her boyfriend were in. Their room was very nicely decorated, as if it was more recently looked after, and the bed looked better and it smelled lovely. My room felt a lot less nice. It didn't smell nice to me and the mattress wasn't very comfortable, a bit springy. Drawers looked a bit battered. Overall my room looked worse than theirs which was disappointing and I wish I had been given the single room as I'd booked. Single room looked nicer in the pictures than this double room I was given. The size of the double room was good but to me, its about the comfort of the bed and clean decor more than the size of the rooms.
