Cinnamon Paradise

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was perfect. The location was great, away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, but only a 5 minute scooter away. The nature was insane. You literally have to walk in between the cinnamon trees to get to your room. You’re surrounded by nature and it’s also very private with the trees blocking out all the other rooms. We saw peacocks, mongoose, monkeys, squirrels, fireflies and more whilst eating breakfast and from our balcony. The host cooked us a lovely satisfying breakfast each morning of toast, eggs and jam and also mixed fruit (included juicy sweet pineapple from the garden!). He was accomodating and lovely company, chatting to us over breakfast and explaining how cinnamon is farmed etc. The room itself was perfect. Clean and beautiful. Everything is wooden and some things are made from the branches of the cinnamon trees. We loved all the warm lighting and the outside shower was amazing. The water is cold but that was a good thing as the Sri Lankan weather is hot! Overall our experience at Cinnamon Paradise exceeded our expectations and was just perfect.

We loved our stay here! If you want a stay surrounded by nature in a peaceful setting, then this is the place for you! Champika was so kind to us, making us breakfast in the morning and sharing information about the local area and culture. He even spoke us through how to make cinnamon! Thank you for an excellent experience—we will be recommending this place to our friends and family!

Cinnamon Paradise is an incredible local business. These are the cutest cottages right in the heart of an organic local cinnamon farm full of natural wildlife. The accommodation was perfectly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed talking to the host about how he built this business from scratch, farming cinnamon, and lots of other interesting information about Sri Lanka. I'd absolutely recommend this for a stay in Ahangama that supports local Sri Lankan entrepreneurship and care for nature.

Beautiful place and beautiful people! Cinnamon Paradise was the perfect start to our holiday! Truly a perfect stay. Champi was the most fantastic host, he went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We enjoyed homemade breakfasts every morning with great conversation and local tips. The quiet location is refreshing, away from the busy town centre - but it’s still possible to walk there or to the local beaches. Surrounded by nature, our room was private and peaceful - we especially enjoyed the outdoor shower, and reading our books on the terrace. Cannot recommend highly enough!
