Gal Oya Lake Club

The location on a lake was amazing for bird watching. Service was exceptional. And the eye to detail was perfect. Not to mention the most amazing massage.

I had a wonderful stay at Gal Oya Lake Club. I honestly didn’t expect to find such a beautiful and peaceful place. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing welcome drinks and shown to a big cottage beside the pool, which made the stay feel even more special. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The facilities were excellent, and the whole atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it the perfect place for a peaceful getaway. Kayaking is available, and they can also coordinate safari trips, which adds even more to the experience. What made our stay truly memorable was the amazing service. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend Gal Oya Lake Club to anyone looking for a relaxing escape surrounded by nature. It’s definitely a place I’d love to visit again!

The service was second to none - a really personal touch to all of the service and everything was incredibly smooth and guest-focused. (Eg. Cold face towels and complimentary herbal tea on arrival, when we stayed out by the pool the staff brought us refreshing complimentary drinks without us asking etc.). The staff also helped us to book massages and a boat safari - both incredible. The location and the quality of accommodation is also faultless, amazing views across the lake and right next to Gal Oya for safaris. Food was the best we've had and both pools were perfect. Everything was so clean and professional. Our best stay in Sri Lanka by far!

Everything was great - no downsides

Lovely property and so peaceful. Bungalow was huge and had great views of the lake. Staff were so nice and helpful. Organised our safaris for us and we had the best ever massages (we've had a lot) with Chatarunga. Food was also very good. You won't regret staying here.
