Galoya Red Lotus

The hosts are very welcoming, with cold fruit juice and recommendations on things to do and how best to do it. The place is exceptionally clean, and our triple room was spacious with a good amount of furnishings. Great aircon & the beds were comfy. Ten minutes will have you at the Gal Oya ticket office & lake, and 20 mins back to Ampara for dinner (Elephant Mount Restaurant was tasty, at the owners good advice)

Nothing to dislike - but do be aware there are no restaurants down that way as tourism is still quite new to the area, so be prepared to head back to Ampara for dinner. We were welcomed with fresh juice and said goodbye with a refreshing king coconut. The room was lovely and, most importantly, it had air conditioning, which kept it nice and cool. We also enjoyed a delicious and varied breakfast, with very good coffee and milk. We asked if we could have our clothes washed, and the host was very kind and helped us with this. When we returned a little later, our clothes were already washed, dried, and neatly folded for us. We are very grateful to the host for his kindness and willingness to help! Me and my boyfriend stayed 1 night at this hotel. The owners are super friendly! We had a warm welcome with watermelon juice. We also got some cool water for in the room. The room was pretty big, it has a big window with a thick curtain so no light comes through at night. The bed is comfortable and really big. The bathroom is alright, there were free soaps linnen and towels. The room had a good AC that kept it nice and cool. The location is very calm and peaceful close to the national park. The people living around the hostel were really nice and welcoming to us. There are little supermarkets in the area, a tiny food stand right in front of the hotel and a gas station near by. Wat really stood out for us is how nice and friendly the owners where. At check out they even provided soms fresh coconuts and jackfruit. 10/10 would definitely recommend

Het hotel ligt dichtbij het Gal Oya National Park waar je de boot safari kan doen.

De bedden zijn hard, je hebt geen ontbijt en voor het avondeten moet je 10 km verder zijn, in Ampara. Deze stad is niet of nauwelijks betekend op toerisme.
