Our stay at Charita’s was amazing! We had lunch and dinner there, cooked by his mum and served by his dad. Delicious! He also took us on a Jeep safari and we saw plenty of elephants and a few crocs so If you couldn’t book online he will take care of you! Thank you Charita for making our stay more than special!!!!

Dinner was very good. The whole family was very Friendly to us and our child. Nice recommendation for the guide for hiking. Different breakfast every day. Help to get cold water. Good communication upfront and organization of our boat safari. Even picked us up in Kalkudah Bay. Felt always well taken care of.

Some hooks at the wall for cloths or towels in the room in front of the inner door to the bathroom would be helpful. One towel seemed to be newer and left fussel when drying. The mirror was not clean and had toothpaste from previous guests. Keine Verdunkelungsvorhänge. Kein Mülleimer im oder vor dem Zimmer vorhanden.

Les gérants sont adorables et font tout pour vous satisfaire. Les repas étaient très bon. Ils nous ont aidé à réserver notre sortie à Gal Oya pour le safari en bateau, qui se trouve a proximité. Pour la petite maison s'était confortable et propre.

Il faudrait ajouter des patères pour suspendre les serviettes 😊

The mother is nice and helpful.

We've traveled to more than 60 countries and never had such a frustrating and exhausting experience. Everybody comes to Gal Oya for the boat safaris. The accommodation offers to organize them BUT whatever you ask (and that was the experience of all the guests) the son, who runs the place, doesn't answer. For six months (!) we inquired about the morning (6.30am) safari and about gluten-free food - no answer. When I asked once more a few days before our arrival, he just wrote 'I can organize', that was all. Again, he didn't reply to further questions. He does this on purpose, so that when you arrive he can sell you the 9.30am safaris, that no one wants and get some extra profit from the supposedly desperate tourists. Don't believe anything the guy tells you! Don't rely on them and book through the reliable guy at Gal Oya Lake View. Also, stay there, their rooms are much bigger, nicer and the location is better.
