the location of La Marrionnette is superb. I like the neighborhood very much. Good bakeries around the corner. There are weekend farmers market at nearby plaza and streets. There are buses passing and metro station is very close. Walking distance to the town just down the hill. Recommend it for the location.
After using toilet downstairs, one needs to go upstairs to wash hands in the shower room. (Or wash hands in the kitchen basin).

Location was spectacular. Lots of good dining around, and decent transit to other places of interest.
No air conditioning. Was only a problem because I was there during a heatwave.

We liked the area and the fact that you were very central but still in a secluded quiet place.
The bed was a bit on the small side. The WC was downstairs.

Lovely quiet little gîte tucked inside a calm courtyard off a bustling street. We loved the spacious and romantic bedroom. Lots of good storage for unpacking your clothes, hanging towels etc. The shower worked well and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. We were able to plug my Amazon Fire Stick into the little TV in the living room and relax to Netflix in the evenings after we had walked our legs off all day. Very convenient location for both the metro and buses and only a 20 mins walk to hotel de ville. The bed had quite hard springs but we did sleep well.
No extractor fan in the shower/bathroom nor in the WC (downstairs, right beside the kitchen) which left the air a little stale. The sofa could do with being bigger and more comfortable although we both fitted on it ok. The courtyard is very wooded and there is no anti-bug mesh on the windows so they needed to stay shut or else numerous flies/moskitoes came into the rooms. We also saw some unsavoury wildlife scuttling about in the courtyard despite the presence of many rodent traps and this combined with the bugs yielded the outside seating area totally undesirable to sit in. We were glad to be there in March when it was cool versus in the summer. Finally we would have liked a couple more pillows and towels as we only had 1 each.

in the heart of Croix-rousse, plenty of shops around.
easy transport to the city center.
calm - small maisonnette in the rear court of a typical building.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The property was ideally situated in the heart of the Croix Rousse. It was nice that is it a property with two floors. It was a real bonus that it had a bath.
On arrival the property was a bit cold but it soon warmed up as the heating was a nice temperature.

- the house is nice, clean and "coquette", very good for a couple
- facilities are just fine, everything you need in the kitchen
- host is very friendly, the communication was very good on booking's message center
- location is up on one of the Lyon's hills, but it has supermarkets and traditional french bakeries nearby
- a small courtyard is very nice for breakfast/lunch/dinner if it doesn't rain
Being an old traditional house, there are some issues that may or may not be fixed without affecting the house style:
- the windows have no nets, so if you open them for refreshing the air, insects may visit you (mosquitos especially), I believe nets can be added somehow on the interior.
- WC is situated under the stairs and very uncomfortable for a tall man, but being a traditional french house, I do not think it can be fixed without affecting the house's charm

The room was cool with a nice breeze coming through. There was a pleasant courtyard to sit in for breakfast and plenty of room to prepare food. The location, just north of city center offered plenty of nightlife while also being quiet. Close to the metro and a friendly face to greet you once we arrived.
The toilet is on a separate floor than the bedroom so I had to walk down dark stairs in the middle of the night but not a big deal overall

L'emplacement de cette petite maison bien agencée, très agréable et fonctionnelle. Logement très propre, avec le petit plus, le café ou le thé offert.
