Charming authentic old "fournier" from the 19th century (traditional bread oven), very carefully restored, nestled in the heart of a small typical agricultural village (rich with a beautiful Romanesque church from the 12th century located a stone's throw away) perched on an exposed hill, at the foot of a very old volcano (the "Volcan de Drevin", culminating at 494 m). Soothing rural and preserved natural setting, nestled on the immediate edge of a vast plateau of meadows (with the peaceful Charolais cows as neighbors...), in the hollow of the gentle rolling Creusot countryside, a succession of valleys of hedged farmland surrounded by wooded hills, bucolic fish ponds (including the vast fishing pond of Brandon with an area of 48 ha nearby) and deep wild forests to explore on foot or mountain bike (many panoramic "belvederes"). Very comfortable gîte. Warm, contemporary character enhanced by a meticulous "ethnic" decor inspired by the owners' various travels (between Asia, Madagascar, Jordan, and the Maghreb). Plenty of charm. A cozy, comfortable, and cocooning atmosphere. A large, exposed and shaded terrace opens onto a pleasant little natural garden featuring an imposing cherry tree, surrounded by centuries-old dry-stone walls, and a rare heated "natural swimming pool." Magnificent unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside and the majestic medieval Brandon Castle (a listed 12th-century building steeped in history) in the background.
