B&B Salviani

B&B Salviani is such a lovely property. There are only a few rooms but they are absolutely lovely. I had a bedroom with 2 single beds and an external bathroom that only our room used- it was great facilities and very clean. The highlight of our stay was the owners- a husband and wife- they are such lovely people and make the place feel like home. They offered us coffee or juice when we arrived, invited us to get ice cream with them, but were also very respectful of our space and gave us a key for our bedroom as well. Breakfast was simple but delicious and was prepared early for us, so that we could leave to the airport. For less than the price of a taxi, we were given a lift to the airport for our flight, which was so helpful.

The only thing that wasn't ideal is that it's not obvious where the apartment is. It's right around the corner from the train station and in a little compound on the 1st floor- but you have to check the door bell labels to be sure- but it wasn't a big deal.

I got a large room with en-suite bathroom and shower. Alberto and Antonella took very good care of me even though I arrived late in the evening from the airport. Good conversations and breakfast. Alberto even gave me a lift to the next place I was going

The host Antonella was very kind and accommodating (we had to leave early to catch a flight and she woke up early to serve us breakfast). The breakfast was plentiful and good quality. The location lies right between the airport, the beach and central Rome, giving you plenty of options. The metro stop is a 1-min walk away from the property.

There is a 10 euro extra charge for leaving the air conditioner on all night. We tried using it for a bit but didn't bother after a while as it wouldn't really cool down the room. Maybe we just couldn't find the right settings, but either way, we spent one of the most uncomfortably hot nights in Italy in this B&B. In addition, the wifi must have been turned off or something and our laptop couldn't find it. It was too late to ask the host about this, so we just ended up using our personal hotspot to browse the web.
