Honestly, I usually just book random hotels in Agoda if I find them discounted, and I do that often for quick getaways. Me and my partner travels a lot on a whim and saw this place. Did a bit of research on their amenities and decided to book it for 4D3N for 2 people. I will list my honest thoughts on this hotel: PROS: *Place is charming and secluded. You will feel at peace since the surrounding is beautiful. Not the cleanest, there's a bit of rubbish around the area but overall still clean. *Saltwater pool - I decided to choose this place due to the saltwater pool. I am pleasant to see that there's even marine life in the pool! That really stood out to me since this is the first time I've seen an accomodation that does have that. *Good snorkeling spot! Since the sea in Mabini is rocky, it's good spot for snorkeling without having to swim far. CONS: *The way to the hotel is steep. Roads are not good and the Google map was wrong. That's a minor inconvenience but worth mentioning for those who plans to travel via commute. *No complimentary coffee and mugs in the unit. Again, a minor detail but all of the places I've been to atleast offers that. *Regular rooms only have 2 pillows *The wifi is only good for 1 device per person. If you have another device you have to pay 100 pesos per device on top and it expires every 24hrs. Wifi is also spotty in some of the rooms. *And major drawback: They do not allow you to bring drinks/foods and let me tell you, the food is SUPER PRICEY. Like at the low end, dish prices starts at around 500 pesos. Even gisang kangkong with tofu is about 490. We were shook at the pricing and if you wish to have it delivered to your room, that's another 20% service fee. And honestly, the food was not spectacular. The Adobong squid was just 1 medium size squid that's already around 500 pesos. Overall, we racked about 6,800 pesos for the food in just about 3 days. And we didn't even ate breakfast so just imagine having breakfast for 2 for another 3 days that's easily another 3000 since they're breakfast is also 500 minimum per dish. *Not all units have hot water, ours isn't working but I do not feel like reporting it anymore since we already transferred room due to the aircon not working to the original unit. Overall, I'd say if you have some money to burn, this place isn't bad at all. It has it's charm and if there's not a lot of guest, it's really peaceful and serene. However, please have an ample amount of budget for food since this will be the most expensive of all. Will we go back? Maybe, but I have a lot of other places listed in Anilao that is near this resort that I will visit first since the prices are comparable and allows you to cook food. Kudos to the staff though, they are super friendly.
