Breakfast was excellent. freshly baked bread on site the staff were friendly caring and helpful. Great menu for lunch and dinner.

The staff were incredibly accommodating, warm, and welcoming throughout my stay. The room was beautifully finished, immaculately clean, and overlooked the pool with a truly stunning outlook. The facilities were comfortable and very easily accessible, while the gardens were meticulously maintained and added to the peaceful atmosphere. As the hotel is smaller in size, it feels wonderfully relaxed, personal, and private — a lovely escape with a calm and intimate feel. 🌸

Very small issue - Bathroom door didn't quite close properly,

I’ve stayed everywhere in Bali over 30+ years — budget hotels to resorts — but this is the first time I’ve landed home and immediately started dreaming of my return, purely because of this place. I arrived at 11:30pm, tired, expecting to just crash. Instead, I was met with a genuine smile and instantly felt the difference. Walking through reception, past the restaurant, to my room — it was obvious: when they built Kubu Garden Suites & Villas two years ago, no shortcuts were taken. Immaculate. Thoughtful. Boutique quality without the boutique price tag. Even at midnight I noticed the tropical gardens and gorgeous pool. But pulling back the curtains the next morning? Tranquil, perfectly kept gardens and a sparkling infinity pool right outside. I actually gasped. And the surprises kept coming. Breakfast wasn’t just huge and delicious — it arrived on top-quality crockery, plated like art. The chefs take time to make every dish beautiful. I’ve never seen food presented so well. I stayed 11 days and ate every single meal there, including inviting my Balinese families to join me. Why go anywhere else? The chefs are outstanding — and two of them graduate with university degrees this September. You can taste the skill and the pride. But the real magic is the staff. You can always feel when someone’s just doing a job for the money. Here? Every single person clearly loves what they do. They’re capable, happy, and genuinely want you to have the best experience possible. It’s effortless, warm, and real. Kubu Garden Suites & Villas is only two years old, but feels like it was built by people who’ve been caring for guests their whole lives. I’ll be back.

The only thing I found missing was a handrail to get in and out of the swimming pool. This would be very helpful for those finding it a physical challenge. One of the owners told me that a handrail will be installed very soon

It was lovely, quiet and well maintained. The service is amazing and we couldn’t fault anything. We had breakfast included in the nightly rate and it was wonderful. We also really enjoyed lunch and dinner there most days - delicious! We stayed in Villa 1, our kids loved the pool and spent hours in it each day.
