I visited Hotel Stadler 2 in the last week in March, I knew it was a budget hotel so disn't expect it to be luxury. I have very little criticism of this hotel, for the price you pay to stay in the centre of Rome you are getting a basic but comfortable room with very good wifi a bathroom which is like a wet room (and there was always hot water) and extremley friendly service from the gentleman who ran the hotel. The area may not be the nicest part of Rome but had very good reasonably priced restaurants in the area and is a transport hub so it is very easy to get to all of the major sites quickly using the metro plus transport to the airport. I was travelling solo and felt very safe going out at night alone. I definitely would stay here again and hopefully I will again some day.

Nothing too bad but I would have appreciated a mirror in the bedroom rather then the only one in the bathroom and maybe a kettle to make a morning cuppa but there are plenty of cafes to grab a morning cuppa and pastry in the area.

The bed was very comfortable and the man who worked the front desk was very friendly. Not close to any interesting areas but well connected.

There was a curfew of 12:30 am. We also had to pay an additional fee of 48 euros. We had to be manually let in to the entrance so sometimes it would take a while. The room was also very small and bare.

We didn't have any problems with the check in, and the host was friendly. The room was clean but very basic. The hotel was very close to the train station which was nice.

The bathroom didn't have a shower curtain so water just goes everywhere when taking a shower. I couldn't find a place to hang the towels in the bathroom so I found a place in the room. The hotel is on the fourth floor and on the morning that we checked out the elevator wasn't functioning. My wife is in a wheelchair and struggled to get down all of the stairs. The hotel host did help us get the wheelchair and luggage down the stairs and apologized for the break down. There was a sign in the check in area that said using the air conditioning was an extra nightly cost, and that surprised me as well.
