Perfect for families and individuals!

The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The owner was very polite and hospitable. He even drove us personally to the train station. We highly recommend this hotel. This place is so close to all the sites and activities and is right by the Interlaken Ost station.

Overall a good place for romantic/family trips!

We were lucky to get an upgrade! :) The rooms were clean and super comfortable. The view from our room was extraordinary! It has access to the river and great view of the Alps! A good place for couples for their romantic getaway.

Commuting was a bit tough ( especially as we went during Nov). Takes about 15-20 min Walk to Interlaken OST Bhf. Walking to and from, with Luggages might feel a bit of work It was strange to read so many rules (But i guess, those had a story behind them :D )

If you don't mind the cleanliness and the distance and focus only the room view, it s the good choice.

The view towards the lake and mountain are perfect

It s not as mentioned in the hotel. It s at the other side of the lake from the train station, so you need to walk far to cross the bridge to the hotel. The room itself is not clean and not standard. The bathroom curtains is dirty the toilet space is too tiny...

disappointed by greedy people running the place.

location, quiet area

price to high for the offering. pictures shown to have kitchen but was not possible to cook. there was bath tub , but without water stoppage, the water faucet was was locked to avoid using bath tub. overall property has lot of potential but I felt tricked by pictures and description. for the same amount better find something a bit far from Interlake and then just take bus or drive there. it could great if run by good people instead of those greedy ones. avoid it for the sake of bringing back real hospitality back.

Loved the stay!

We booked the river facing room and it was marvellous! The location of this stay was hands down the best I could ask for out first visit to Interlaken. It is located right next to the train station since we had luggage with us! The rooms are quite spacious and the stay was excellent. The views are fantastic - mountains and the river. We absolutely loved the stay and will definately not mind staying here again.

Convenient, large room located next to the river

We liked the location in that we were near the river and we could walk to restaurents and the center of town.

We could not believe they made us pay to park in front of our room or anywhere else on the motel's property.

The location is breathtaking! Covered with mountains and next door lake .. one of the best place I have ever stayed. Plus the Indian restaurant just 2 steps away with the great food makes it even better

My stay was good because they met my request for a clean, bright and quiet room. The room was spacious.

A quiet, bright, clean and spacious room by the river side.

The Wi-Fi was poor. There was a strong smell of electric burning aroma in the room. If the room was cleaned, there was no need the help of the aroma. I took it off and opened the window for fresh air.

This hotel is interlaken hidden gem!

The environment, location, staff and cleanliness. Everything was upto par. Loved management who.were willing to help and solve any issues. I am very scared of bugs...I stayed 5 nights but didn't see a single bug even though I had left windows wide open. I would love to.come back and tell others about this place.. .

Better tv viewing options needs to be given like Netflix or youtube..

The room was smelly. I was told that it was due to humidity, which was addressed only after opening both doors and cross ventilation. Initially only one fan was provided, which was faulty, not rotating. Mr Khan provided another fan later, though that was also not rotating, but was enough for four beds.

Scenic and homely

The property is right next to the river so the view was great and could sit and chill by the river. Facilities were generally ok. The room can get a bit warm in summer but the fan was handy. The food at the restaurant was the highlight, very authentic indian food! The staff were very kind and accommodating. The owner was very friendly and dropped us to station couple times. This was super helpful as the walking path is not the best if you have rolling suitcases. The property is actually just opposite to the station but need to walk around to cross the river and get there. Without suitcases, the location is really nice as its walkable to key spots like harderkulm, railway and cruise station etc.

In the morning there is limited support as the reception desk opens around 2pm only. We had some urgent issue with the shower in the morning but had to wait till the noon for it to be addressed. They addressed the issue immediately though once they were open which was nice. Would be good to have some alternate contact in case of emergencies outside the general opening hours. Otherwise nothing much. We had a great stay :)

The property's location on river was one of the bestest thing to have. Hotel had a fan for summers, which helped a lot. The hotel room is very nice, modern. Highly recommend 'the river village ' to people looking for a beautiful location to live in Interlaken.

The receptionist Mr Khan is not available in the morning till 2 pm. Can the hotel not hv a call centre to answer queries. Mr Khan was very rude, he even said that you guests can walk to stations, ahealthy way to reach th station, hotel receptionist doesnt know to talk to clients, and that too women. Not once but whenever we approached him, he had attitude to talk. his workin hours are 2 pm to 9 pm but his presence was of no help anyways. hotel needs an intercom in every room with staff availability in th morning 8 am to 2 pm, how can hotel skip this important part. and how has no one told the owner that his staff is good for nothing. basically i would say hotel doesn’t have a staff as khan is complete useless for that post. shift him to backoffice work if he cannot be polite, it is a disastor to have him in the front office, hotel will lose orders if he is front office incharge. Hotel should consider keeping a Shuttle vehicle to reach the Interlaken Ost station, maybe keep jus one a day say at 11 am, as this is check out time. Also, charge a minimum and max of 5 chf per person, this option is better for guest who is waiting for a taxi and also win win option for hotel / motel.

Awesome and Memorable

Best suited for Indian tourists.. Got a feeling like staying in some resort in India with Indian food and enjoy the the scenic beauty of Switzerland.. Property owner Mr Rupinder Singh and his wife are managing the hotel and they both took very good care of us...like a family members...We are JAINS and they served us Jain food for us as per our request.. In fact Mr Singh helped us out of the way by dropping us in the market on the first day of our stay and to the Interlaken railway station on the check out.. we will remember this kind gesture lifetime.. Thank you from all of us.. had a memorable and pleasant stay

I really like the location — it’s about a 10–15 minute walk, but totally worth it. The walk to the hotel is beautiful, with scenic views that make the stroll enjoyable and relaxing. It’s a great way to start or end the day.

The only downside is that the hotel’s information desk isn’t open 24/7, which can be a bit inconvenient.
