The space was great and the location (in the middle of Kendal high street) could not have been better.

It is not at all great when the heating cannot be adjusted. the apartment was too cool in the day which made it a little uncomfortable. All holiday lets should have flexible heating options.

This is a spacious and very comfortable apartment, right in the heart of Kendal, making it the perfect base for exploring the town and the Lakes. The flat is well kitted out with everything you might need, from a fully equipped kitchen to a cosy living area, and it felt more like a home than a rental. The rooms are generous in size, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was clean and well looked after. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, the easy check-in, and the fact that once you step outside you are right in the middle of Kendal with shops, cafés, and restaurants on the doorstep. Despite the central location the apartment was quiet and restful.

Parking is not easy to manage. There is only access to the road outside the apartment between 4pm and 11am, and even then only in a temporary loading bay. After that you need to move the car to a paid car park elsewhere in Kendal — I paid £21 for three days. Given we paid over £250 per night, this was an unwelcome extra. The apartment has no outside space and no view, which makes it feel rather claustrophobic. Access is down a grim alleyway, which doesn’t give a great first impression. The kitchen floor has been poorly fitted and has three holes in it, and the blinds were all very dusty. Finally, I received 23 long messages from the agent for this one booking. This was overwhelming and felt unnecessary.

Very good location for visiting the Lake District nearby. The two bathrooms are ideal for friends or families, with plenty of space. Well kitted out kitchen, with enough equipment for 4 people.

As our weather was so good, some outside space would have been nice, but fully appreciate that this was impossible due to the confines of the building, and did not spoil our stay.
