A short stay in a secluded area that offers insight into how others live.

We stopped here as a “mini-vacation” on our trip home from Monaco. If you’re looking for a place to just pull off the road and sleep, this is not the place! This is a charming, rustic bed & breakfast with honest home-cooked meals in a warm if not luxurious atmosphere. Christina is a welcoming hostess, and even though we arrived later than planned, she made us feel at home right away. Highly recommend!

A shame we stayed only one night.

Of all the ‘stays’ on our whirlwind tour of the Alps, this was the very best. Everything about it was absolutely perfect - a stunning host at a stunning location, a warm welcome, beautiful home cooked food.

Nice place but take your own food

Loved the position of the guest house and the views are absolutely beautiful. The apartment was a bit quirky but very spacious. Safe and covered parking for our motorbikes.

Its advertised as a restaurant but it isnt, that part of it shut years ago apparently, we therefore couldnt get any food unless we went into town. The food offered was just pesto pasta which I enjoyed but the rest of our party didnt and at £20 was eye watering even for Switzerland.

A wonderful stay in a family run BnB in the mountains

This wonderful family-run BnB has a great location in the attractive mountainside village of Verdabbio. The room was large and warm, quiet and comfortable. Out of our windows, we had a beautiful view over the village and surrounding mountains, and we could also enjoyed watching the family's chickens across the way, and spotting the donkeys further up the slope. Downstairs, we could relax by the open log fire and chat with the family and Erminia herself, who came by each evening. The breakfast was varied and tasty: we particularly enjoyed the local honey and homemade grape jam. We also twice took up their offer of dinner; delicious and simple home-cooked meals, vegetarian in our case, consisting of several courses, with which we drank a bottle of the local Merlot. Highly recommended.

The morning coffee, made with a small capsule machine, was not very strong or tasty. A fresh coffee, even made simply with a Moka pot, would really really appreciated.

super getaway location, up in the small village, very peaceful around. the apartment is quite large, clean, nice. lovely terrace. Cristina and the family are lovely, very helpful and friendly. they made us dinner even though we arrived super late, breakfast was tasty and everything smooth. It's not the easiest place to reach, so I recommend at least two nights!

All good! Some travelers might not prefer such a small and remote village/location though, so make sure you know what you are signing up for.

An extremely pleasant and quiet place

The owner and her family were extremely nice. The evening meals with the local ham were great. The apartment was extremely clean and well kitted out. Verdabbio is a quiet village and might be a little remote for many people. But it is possible to use as a base to visit Bellinzona, Locarno or Ascona, for example. For walking, the scenery is impressive. WiFi was surprisingly good for such a remote place.

The weather was awful but that wasn't the fault of the owner!! The only thing we missed was a kettle for tea but maybe we didnt find it.

It's a remote, very small village on a steep mountain side. We like these kind of places very much. The host is super friendly! The road towards Da Erminia is steep, small and challenging because the 'main road' was closed because of roadworks. Parts of the village are only reachable by foot. We stayed 1 night on our way to Italy, but the area is very interesting, so we hope to return one day. For the bathroom, we had to cross the hallway. But it was a private bathroom, no charing with other guests. This didn't bother us. The host made us a very tasty meal,very convenient as there is no other restaurant or bar in the vicinity.

Great place to stay for peace and tranquility

A nice cozy family run business in a quiet village up in the Swiss alps with a great view. The hostess was very friendly and helpful to organize meals when we needed. The breakfast and dinner meals were very good and very affordable.

There is no car parking next to the hotel. There is a public parking space about 100 meters away from the hotel. The hostess did provide a parking pass during our stay to park our car free of charge.

Een passage van slechts 1 dag bij 'Da Erminia' is te kort en verdient een langer verblijf

Uitstekende vriendelijke familiale ontvangst door Cristina en haar mama Eminia (die haar naam aan de B&B gaf). Gezellig drankje 's avonds bij aankomst en keuvel met de familie. 's Anderendaags heel lekker ontbijt: brood, diverse soorten fruit, kaas, hesp, koffie, thee, fruitdrank, yoghurt ... alle producten bio van eigen gewin. Schitterende lokatie bij zonnig herfstweer. Wij kwamen daar nu voor de vierde keer, telkens als tussenstop op weg naar Italië.

Bardzo sympatyczna właścicielka, z którą można było się porozumieć, chociaż nie władała angielskim. Malownicza wiosna na wzgórzu, do której dojazd naprawdę jest pełen ekscytacji, zwłaszcza jeśli w remoncie jest główna droga. Wspaniałe widoki na okoliczne góry. Mieszkanie na poddaszu, trochę trąciło myszką, słabe dzienne światło. Czysto

Trudno trafić do miejsca zamieszkania, GPS nie za bardzo pokazuje miejsce, szkoda, że nie ma drogowskazów. Parking płatny pod kościołem i raczej nie podjedzie się pod dom, więc trzeba tachać walizki po kostce i kamiennych schodach. Byłe remont głównej drogi, więc dojazd alternatywną byłą wąski i wijący się. Typowa włoska agroturystyka.

Una estancia como en casa!

Un diez! Nos sentimos como en casa pero en pleno suiza. Cristina un 10 nos dejó guardar las motos en su garaje y le pedimos si era posible ya que la ruta en moto nunca se sabe cuando termina le pedimos si era posible hacer algo para cenar y nos hizo una cena … espectacular! No puedo decir nada malo!

Super lief ontvangen. Er is heerlijk voor ons gekookt. Wij sliepen met 2 volwassenen en 2 kinderen van 6 & 8 jaar. Voor onze doorreis naar Italië perfect!

Traumhafte Aussicht, familiäre Atmosphäre, tolles Frühstück und Abendessen!

Malerisch gelegenes Haus (nicht ganz leicht zu finden) mit sehr schöner, weinumrankter Veranda, auf der bei gutem Wetter auch die Mahlzeiten gemeinsam eingenommen werden. Wir haben die familiäre Atmosphäre und das von der ungemein herzlichen Gastgeberin Christina zubereitete Essen geliebt! Das Zimmer mit eigenem Balkon und Ausblick auf die Berge war auch wunderschön.
