Má Si H'mông HOMESTAY

They lost their old booking.com page, but they have been here for a long time, so don’t be deterred by the low numbers of reviews! I originally booked one night here, but ended up staying four! The family welcomed me in with a level of hospitality that I have not experienced anywhere else. I talked to Ma Si about her life and shared dinners with the family. They let me into their home with such grace and kindness, that I only wish I could have stayed longer. And of course, how could I not mention Ma Si’s grandson, who is the cutest (and most energetic) 2-year-old in Vietnam. If you’re looking for something that feels like a real homestay, then definitely come here! The village of Ta Phin is beautiful, lush green, and feels a world away from Sapa, so quiet and peaceful. I loved sitting on the second floor dining area and just watching village life go by. I even stumbled into a Hmong wedding and was invited in! This is where the real Sapa is!
