The Guest houses are very cool in a tropical vibe. Air con was nice and cold, bed was comfy and facilities were good. Staff were very helpful and friends. There is also breakfast included!! Very close walk and bike to the river.

The resort had exceeded our expectations as we were looking for a quiet, family-like setting away from the noise and spotlight found in larger hotels. And that is exactly what we found here. We instantly felt like family members and even though we were very close to the Mekong River, restaurants and the city market, the place was hidden in a small street that was very quiet. We stayed in one of the chalets, and in a room in the main house as well and found both accommodations very nice. The chalets are for travelers who enjoy privacy and the view of a garden, while the rooms in the main house is for those who are more accustomed to a city life and accommodations. We will definitely come back and stay there in the future as being able to eat breakfast with the owners and talking about the local culture was a priceless experience. Also, we were able to rent a small motorcycle there too which made our life so much easier while out and about in the area. Thank you for being so kind and friendly.

You cannot not like Mama Sala…and she cooks a mean omelette. But the photos shown here promoting this property on Booking.com, are not anywhere close to reality. You see, it is under a large construction project at the moment and the grounds have been painfully neglected. And that’s just the beginning. The “Bungalows” are actually very small bunker/sheds, no closet, no fridge, no flatscreen, nor nightstand…just enough room for 1 person to navigate the room. The bed is laminated in plastic and”crunches” with each movement and it is just not soft, it is the most uncomfortable and hardest mattress I have laid upon…ever. Construction begins at around 7:30 and continues all day. Until the dust settles this is not a relaxing, quiet place to rest your weary traveling soul.

Although the breakfast was nice, it is served on a concrete driveway, void of any charm or atmosphere,…perhaps a few potted palms to create ambiance. And in the “bunker/shed” rooms,it would be fantastic to have comp shampoo/body wash.
