Ryan's Cottage

Ryan's Cottage is the perfect place to stay if you are holidaying in Rostrevor. The location in right in the village and it's only a five minute walk to Kilbroney Park. The accomodation is spacious, clean and comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Great location with parking. The front door opens into a large open plan kitchen, diner, sitting room which is bright and spacious. There is a large fridge and freezer, large TV. There beds were comfortable and the showers good. There is a nice pub/ restaurant across the road. It is easy to go for walks up onto the mountains straight from the cottage.

The upstairs toilet was out of order which was very disappointing, and no one contacted us to say that it was going o be fixed (which it wasn’t). I had to empty the dish washer when we arrived which I wasn’t impressed by and then, whist putting things away, discovered that there were plenty of glasses, mainly beer or wine, only 3 water type glasses, but a lot of them were on the top shelf of the cupboard which is impossible to reach unless you have a step ladder. Everything in the kitchen seems just shoved n the cupboards, with no thought or care. The toaster was in a cupboard, and the end cupboard just has things stuffed in it. Blinds on the toilet windows and back door would help make it feel a bit more homely, particularly when you have to go down to the loo in the middle of the night. The back yard was scruffy and did not make you want to sit out there. Overall, I was a bit disappointed and it felt like,a managed property not one where the owners take care or pride in it.

Lovely well presented 2 bed 2 bathroom cottage with good kitchen and off road parking. Not far from Mourne Mountains.

Comfortable and very clean. The location was excellent and off street parking was a real bonus especially in a narrow street.
