A lovely stay in Narnia, otherwise known

Being centrally located in the village of Rostrevor was perfect. My friend and I did not have a car. Having facilities within easy walking distance was ideal for us. A local store open long hours and a butcher’s with a very good selection made catering easy. A second bathroom was nice because we could have one each. As I have a touch of arthritis, a loo on the ground floor was a bonus. I also appreciated the non slip mat in the shower for those of us whose balance is not perfect. A shower caddy to pop your flannel, sponge and shower gel in while showering would have been helpful. I had travelled for pleasure and to catch up with a friend, a local girl. She came over one afternoon bringing afternoon tea with her. We had a lovely afternoon sitting in the little court yard enjoying our tea party. Of special note was the welcome bottle of milk in the fridge on arrival. We were both desperate for a cup of tea; it was a life saver! Would I visit again? Yes!

Minor quibbles. As stated above, a caddy in the shower to put a sponge, shower gel and shampoo in. A hook on the back of the bathroom door on which to hang a dressing gown when using the shower. Somewhere to hang towels in the downstairs bathroom. In the blue bedroom, the lovely mirror on the wall was set too high for me to do my hair; I could only see the top half of my face in it. If you hung it over the chest of drawers it would have been better positioned. I am only 5 foot 2inches tall. Information on how the recycling worked would have been useful. We had to work it out and hope we got it right. Otherwise, we had everything we needed and were very comfortable. I enjoyed meeting our host, who popped in when he was in the area. Local people were very friendly and welcoming, as was our host.

A surprisingly beautiful cottage

This cottage exceeded all our expectations. It is beautifully furnished. Everything is there. In hindsight, we were annoyed that we didn't book for longer.

Great place to stay for families with pets

Ryan's Cottage is very central to Rostrevor town so was handy to walk to all the attractions. The house itself was very homely. Had no issues with the TV or internet. Beautiful kitchen and spacious bedrooms. My doggies were right at home. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Could have had a sponge to wash the dishes. But that's very minor. Overall was a great stay.

It was an exceptionally warm weekend so this isn’t meant to be a criticism. Unable to open front sash windows to let air in at night so it was extremely warm in the bedrooms. Fans in each room would have been good.

I am very happy after my short break- that was my 5 th time i.that area - I will comeback for sure again :))

Close to everything I like , comfortable stay, spacious elegant interior , comfy mattresses, comfortable showers , hot water all day long, stove and barbecue available. Very nice kitchen;)))

Unfortunately unpleasant Noice from the Main Street few meters away from the house . Started 5 am up to about midnight. Driver’s completely doesn’t respect speed restrictions so it was very difficult to deal with. But this is NOT the owner fault. The town should do something to organise that better way.

Cute cottage in a beautiful town

Great cottage to stay in the beautiful town of Rostrevor. Clean and spacious and comfortable. Plenty of options to eat - however most pubs/restaurants aren’t open for dinner til Thursday, the cottage has a great kitchen with everything you would need. Lovely place to stop and walk up into the mountains

Beautiful holiday cottage

The cottage is very well laid out, and spacious. Warn and comfortable. Very well equipped. It is in a stunning location 2 mins from the beautiful Fairy Glen. Rostrevor has lots of great bars and restaurants. A beautiful corner of County Down. We hope to return to Ryan's Cottage again.

Enjoyed the break & weather was fantastic

Liked layout & comfort of cottage. close to entrance to Kilbroney Park was great. Close to little village, restaurants & shops

Lot of traffic noise was annoying . Had been notified beforehand that painters would be there that was fine, though downside was we couldn;t let our dog out into the small backyard as gate was left open when painters working.

Haven in Rostrevor

Lovely warm house. Very verbal to walls, restraunts, and bars. Had all that we needed and pet friendly made for a perfect stay.

The place was clean, pet friendly, there was even a dog bed. The key was left for us in a small locker outside so there was no hassle with time that we had to collect them.

The decor was lovely and modern, the house was well laid out and the art work was beautiful, especially liked the local landscapes. Having two showers and two toilets was a big plus. Great furniture options for the bedrooms.

Great location to explore the beautiful surrounding areas. Short walk to Kilbroney Park with lovely walks for the family and dog. Carlingford Lough Ferry nearby for a daytrip across the lough. Everything you need in the cottage, comfy beds and great tv channels available for a family movie. Owner called in to hello which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend.

The stay was great didn't get to meet the host but didn't really need to because they had everything in place and didn't need anything everything was clean and tidy and there was tea and coffee on tap it's a lovely place wish my stay was a bit longer because the location is absolutely stunning with the Mournes mountains sweeping down to the sea and beautiful walking from the door step wonderful

Lovely family family break, we have rebooked and really looking forward to our stay.

The property is new an is immaculately clean, stylish with extra touches, coffee machine, smart tv, wifi etc. The house is very centrally located within easy access to Bars, Restaurants, Shops and Kilbroney Forest Park. Perfect for family walks, hikers and cycle trails. Game of Thrones studio tour, The Boulevard, Banbridge outlets less than 30 minutes drive, Belfast Christmas Markets, and Titanic less than 1 hour. Due to traveling we arrived late, the owner had contacted us earlier with details of keys. On arrival the house had heating on, owner had left essentials tea, coffee, water, butter and scones, along with plenty of wood for stove fire. The property allows small pets downstairs and even provided a dog bed.

There really wasn’t anything that we didn’t like or could fault.

Sehr tolles, modernes, geräumiges Haus, kontakloses Mieten, E-Mail Kontakte sehr freundlich!

Haus ist von außen mittlerweile auch weiß gestrichen, innen genau so, wie auf den Fotos: modern geräumig wirklich sehr gut ausgestattet! Auch Verbrauchsmaterialien (wie Waschmittel, Klarsichtfolie, Kaffeekapseln, Tee...) waren da. Alles Tip-top!!

Informationen über Haus wären noch schön gewesen (z.B. Recycling-System, WLan-Code), haben es dann gefunden, aber eine Mappe mit Infos wäre hilfreich gewesen (oder wir haben diese nicht gefunden).
