Amazing stay!

The hotel is very good, clean, safe. Room was spacious and bathroom and shower were good. Very well located next to tram, 15 minutes from city centre. Very comfortable room.

The carpet was old, the bathroom door was chipped and cracked. The entrance and staircase were dirty and had cob webs.

Not luxurious but is clean, quiet and a good location.

The good: The location was perfect for me. This is right near the tram stop, a grocery store, a bakery, a pharmacy, a bank, and several restaurants. The restaurant downstairs doesn’t open until 10:00 am, but the food I ate one night for dinner was delicious. There was some noise in the daytime because of construction, but at night it was very quiet as long as I shut the windows. The not so good: There are two twin beds. One was comfortable, the other was saggy and uncomfortable. The WiFi signal was weak. I could only get WiFi in the outside hallway, the bathroom and sometimes the kitchen. The WiFi never worked in the bedroom. The TV didn’t work and I suspect the remote batteries were dead. I didn’t want to watch TV that bad, and honestly was just not interested in asking for other batteries because to get help with something you have to go to the restaurant and talk with the wait staff who are busy with customers. Plus communication can be a little hard if you don’t speak German and if the person working in the restaurant doesn’t speak your language. Other: This kitchenette room was pretty basic, nothing fancy. But I just wanted a clean, quiet, decent, safe, and reasonably priced (for Switzerland) place to stay. Those needs were met. There is no daily housekeeping. I went to the grocery store across the street to get coffee pods for the coffeemaker and toilet paper since I ran out.

Easy to find and lovely bathroom, towels etc. Close to Basle SBB station Excellent food in pleasant dining room with very good table service. Good portions, hot and tasty.

The bedroom was quite hot and if I opened the window it was noisy.

Very kind staff and very nice, clean rooms. Restaurant also had great food.

The only complaint we had was the bed situation. We are a couple from the USA and they gave us two twin beds. HOWEVER, that is apparently normal at Switzerland hotels and is not just this facility (I researched this before our trip). I guess couples usually put the beds together to make a bigger bed but it does not work well based on our experience. For a better night sleep it’s probably better to just keep the twins separate and sleep separate. Definitely a great place to stay for two traveling friends 😁.

Glad I only stayed one night in the end.

Simple, clean and basic. Comfortable with simple pleasant breakfast.

Brown sheets, lack of parking when free parking is advertised, finally, an issue over settlement payment, a minor problem incurred taking a card payment, I had to pay in cash, only had euros so had to do the conversion myself from Swiss Francs. Only as I was miles away did I remember that the price we reserved was £88 and what I ended up paying was circa £110. I suppose you could sum up the experience as what you might expect from a £100 room.

Excellent emplacement à quelques enjambées du tramway pour se déplacer facilement. Personnel sympathique. Chambre spacieuse et confortable, salle de bain impeccable. Propreté nickel. Très calme.

Goede kamer vlakbij tramhalte

Tramhalte en supermarkt zijn 1 minuut lopen. De kamer is klein maar goed ingericht met onder meer kookplaat, koelkast en koffiezetapparaat. In de badkamer een heerlijke douche.

Eigenlijk niets. Houd er wel rekening mee dat er een tamelijk drukke uit uitvalsweg langs het gebouw loopt.
