Overall we enjoyed our stay. The pod was clean and tidy and had lots of facilities. Was a bit disappointed that there was no free standing bath in the pet friendly pod. We found the bed slightly firmer than preferred.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable and convenient pod, fun, a great stop on our NC500 road trip! Great dining options locally in Lochinver, but book well ahead in peak season!

The setup is very good; the surrounding area, beaches, and Hermit's Castle are why we booked here for two nights. Unfortunately, the builders opposite decided to start work with a digger and heavy roller before 8 a.m., so our stay wasn't exactly peaceful. This was not the owner's fault, I should add. The pod was large and comfortable, but it really needs Starlink, as we couldn't use the internet on our phones. Some might find this acceptable, but others might not. Not being able to watch TV was disappointing for the price we paid. Both nights were the same. Don't let that put you off; I'm sure the groundworks are now finished, and some people don't mind not having TVs. We walked for miles, drove to other beaches, and enjoyed the area, and we recommend it to everyone. It won't put us off visiting their other site of pods on the east side of the NC500 next year

Never got a confirmation with lock number and there was no service in the area. Luckily someone from a different pod let us use their WiFi to call the host. Otherwise no issues. We liked the area and the beach that was walking distance

We had such a great stay here. Travelling around the NC500 managed to grab a pod for the night. Although not amazing views to look out on from the pod, just over the ridge certainly makes up for it with the stunning beach.

The pod was exactly like in pictures, very nice and well-equipped. Heated floor was chef-kiss. Not many food places/restaurants open in winter. We stayed for 3 nights so cooking was necessary but the place has everything we needed and made it easy. We stopped at tesco in Ullapool (1 hour away) for food stock. The nearby spar is also good for grocery but small so may not find everything. The pie shop called Lochinver Larder (near the spar) was AMAZING! Although I would say even though it says 4 people can stay, 2 adult per pod is probably better with the space. More importantly, the drive on NC500 itself makes it worth it! Spectacular view. And the nearby Achmelvich beach is beautiful (and very close). Great location!

Magic location. Perfect as very few tourist in this time of the year. Wonderful sandy beaches and walks. wild nature. Our cell phone provider didn't work in the pod .

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Found it easily. Christine was very helpful. We had pre-organised a lovely dinner, The kitchen was well organised with everything we needed. 5 stars. Loved we were so close to the beach. Only 5 min walk. The sunset was stunning.! 5 star comfort. Loved it!

Absolutely brilliant. Just stayed one night but pod has everything you could need. Warm and comfortable and dog friendly too. Outdoor seating with BBQ and fire pit was brilliant extra we weren't expecting. Beach is just minutes away and is spectacular. Would thoroughly recommend and plan to visit again.

No hot water when we arrived, Wi-Fi & tv signal poor. Then late evening we had no water at all until 9:45, 25 mins before we were due to check out and had already packed up. Not able to wash up, shower, brush teeth or flush the toilet

A short, but very enjoyable visit (2 days) in a most beautiful area of the Highlands - even in the bitter cold of winter. The pods were very warm and comfortable with everything you need. Would happily visit again - and also visit Lochinver Larder about 3 miles away - an excellent choice of pies to eat in the cafe, or take back to the lodge - recommended.

Stayed here while doing part of the NC500 and thought a night on the bay away from it all would be nice. Communication with the pods was great, they e-mailed with which pod we were staying in and how to access it well in advance of arrival. The pods are well off the beaten track, we got to the area in the dark and travelling the roads with just our headlights was a bit dicey at times, but putting the postcode into the sat nav got us there. Got to see tons of stags on the drive so count ourselves lucky. The pods could be better signposted, but would be pretty easy to see in the day light...we drove right past them and had to come back. There are parking bays on the side of the road for the pods. The pods are amazing little glamping pods. Have TV and internet, access to Netflix/Amazon if you want. The furniture is comfy and the pods are really cosy. Have a little kitchenette, good for self catering. The bed was really comfortable and have towels provided. The bathroom was stylish as well kempt. No sign of wear and tear and the shower was roomy. There is a communal area of the pods which everyone can use, access to a bbq, fire pit and outdoor seating area. Not used it as we went end of January, but would be perfect for big group book for all the pods . Overall had an amazing stay. Not much in the local area, the bay is a 2 minute walk away but the nearest shops are a bit of a drive, need to make sure you have all your essentials before you go.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS MINI BREAK 3 night stopover ( including NYE) Nice 9 hour drive from Nottingham Stunning scenery,especially north of Inverness. Quite easy to find the pods just follow Waze . The pods ticked every box ,spotlessly clean , comfy , great location. Lovely and warm due to under floor heating . WiFi was good ( I’m not a tv person so was disappointed it worked well !) 2 minutes walk to the stunning beach , great walks etc . Had a long chat with the lovely crofter across the road , such a interesting bloke . Everything you need to cook a good meal is in the pod and don’t forget to pop down to lochinver and buy a delicious pie from the pie shop ! Take a torch as there is NO light pollution and walking our dog in the pitch black darkness required one !! Just one thing PLEASE RESPECT THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY SIDE , dogs on leads are required in some walking areas and bin any litter . A great area of Scotland and loved every minute. 10/10

There was a mix up with our booking so the cabin wasn’t ready on our arrival. Christine was very helpful and offered for us to stay in a cabin on her site in Brora. It was a beautiful place to stay, clean, with great facilities.

The pods are really nice, well kitted out with everything you'll need. We did find it strange the underfloor heating was not in the shower room, the one place you'd probably want it. The shower wasnt hot enough for our liking, but that could just be us. The frustrating part was the adition of a of a smart TV and Alexa on a poor Wifi. I like being off grid and would have been better not to have any signal, but the TV not loading, and Alexa not allowing you to play specific songs, made the extras not worth it to us. A lot of the above it nit-picky and we would still recommend.

The Bathroom is well sized for the pod, a small lack of control on the hot water In the shower (use the boiler under the sink to control this) I nearly scald myself on the first trial so make sure to adjust as required Kitchen is functional including an oven to use which helped when making a meal. Bed is a little worn out on the kitchen side. Likely because it’s been sat on a lot. Cansip pod was missing it’s aerial and satellite internet was hit and miss due to the poor weather but that isn’t the venues fault, just be nice if we could of watched freeview instead of attempting to stream tv with poor internet. However the internet was perfect the next morning and we could watch whatever streaming. The pod we used had plenty of Phillips hue lighting installed and the under floor heating kept us nice and warm in the poor weather over night. With plenty of power and a nice sized living space this pod is small but well thought out. Top tip: make sure you print or screenshot your email, there is no phone signal in the area and you need to drive 5-10 minutes to find some. WiFi is available in each pod.

Apart from Hotels.com not advising the check in process (we had an email but no reference to access codes or which pod we were allocated) the stay was great.We had to contact nc500 pods directly to gain access. However there was no mobile phone signal available but luckily there’s a pay phone right next to the accommodation! It was a frustration 30 minutes until we got the access code.
