    Rooms were in various locations on both sides of the street. No elevators, couldn't make the AC work but the weather was nice so it wasn't totally necessary. Checking in & out was cumbersome and harder than it should have been. Location is good; 10 minutes from Paddington station and 7-8 minutes from Hyde Park

    My single room wasn't very big, but I just needed a place to sleep and shower, so it was perfect. The bathroom was updated and clean. The room was quiet and had everything needed. The location was just out of a busy area in a quiet neighborhood with a couple pubs, shops for food and other restaurants within steps. Not a lot of vehicle traffic, but plenty of people out and about. Paddington station is only a few minutes walk away. The hop on hop off busses run near by and if you like to walk, you can walk to many places is less than a hour, like Buckingham and Kensington Palaces, Royal Albert Hall and Wellington Monument. Mostly walking through Hyde Park. You can catch the Circle Line from Paddington Station that takes you to all the major attractions in the CBD in about half an hour. This was a great hotel in a great location at a good price.

    When we first arrived they gave us an apparently bigger room which was located in the basement of the building. The window couldn't be opened and there was no direct sunlight coming through the window foil. We immediately requested a new room. Everywhere on the walls and on the carpet were water stains and potential mold. The entire basement smelled awful and felt dirty. There were also quite a large amount of rooms in the basement. The new room was in a different building but the room was okay and had all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was an absolute disaster. The breakfast room is in the basement without windows and way too small for all the guests. They were queuing for quite a while at around 9am. They serve you the absolute minimum of an English breakfast of the poorest quality. There's no coffee machine. You get a can of watery coffee on request. Everything they serve is prefabricated and tastes accordingly. Room Service woke us up twice at around 8am even though we hung up the still sleeping sign. They didn't come again in the afternoon and didn't clean our room for 4 days I don't know how they got 4 stars but it's not even worth 2. I've had better Hostels tbh. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was the location. Lovely neighborhood, good restaurants and close to the tube.

    Advertised as 4 star? not near it. There was no bar. The dining room was a dingy crowded basement room. Breakfast experience was chaotic. Too many people chasing too small a space. My experience of front of house staff is that they had a seriously bad attitude towards any query raised by a guest. Choosing this hotel for my 4 night break in London was led by the advertising. There should be some review made here of this hotels rating. I paid 4 star prices but definitely did not recieve 4 star facilities. This hotel is in dier need of refurbishment.
