Very convenient, and very historic, warm and cozy

Hotel was easy to find and get to. It’s a cute little hotel on a small canal. The room was clean and was pretty large. Only slight negative was there was no hand soap provided and no toilet paper holder so it was a little janky. The check in process was a little chaotic. Overall would stay again and do recommend.

Excellent communications with host Matteo. After booking, detailed information about how to navigate to the hotel from the nearby Guglie dock was provided. It was a relatively easy 10 minute walk with one bridge over a canal before the small bridge leading to the front door of the hotel. We caught the Alilaguna Orange Line water taxi from the airport (at airport on the west end, about a fifteen minute walk to the left of customs/baggage claim). It makes one stop prior to the Guglie dock. Bought tickets on-line in advance. Helpful staff at Alilaguna. Matteo had requested an approximate arrival time and when we arrived and knocked on the door, he was there. He helped us with our luggage, processed our payment & showed us to our suite. It was not yet ready but said it would be in an hour, and it was clean when returned after a nice lunch nearby. Great location with lots of food/drink/shopping/grocery options nearby. We had the largest (Galuppi-#5) of the 5 rooms, including master bedroom with couch/tv/bureau/huge closet/mini-fridge/large bed, and a side room with two twins. Bathroom was off the master and had shower/bidet/sink (hair dryer incl). AC minisplit was excellent with easy operating remote. Card key entry at the front door and room door. The only negatives were a VERY slow shower drain making the shower floor slippery and the toilet seat was quite loose. Daily cleaning. The room and common area exhibited some wear and tear but overall, a great choice.
