Very nice stay at this property and loved the "log cabin suite" behind the main house. Stayed in the winter and loved the 2 cozy stone fireplaces. The owners/caretakers were very quick to address questions and address our needs while we were there. Would definitely stay again.

The cottage is in a super quiet lakeside location. Ideal for traveling to Mackinac and places in the UP. Nice facility but lacking supplies and not easy to resolve situation due to manager and owner living remotely. Would recommend with caveat of being prepared to provide basics ( ie TP, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, paper towels, cooking oil, and cleaning a very dirty grill. Owner did refund cleaning fee and paid for our supplies and was appropriately apologetic - and I appreciated this. Manager was less helpful. In fact, manager was slow to resolve issues and made us feel we were being somehow unreasonable asking for a clean grill and obtaining supplies our 4th day into our visit. These details did not ruin our vacation but this was not our typical welcoming VRBO experience. Still a beautiful cottage.
