    Perfect little hotel to stay at for people who want to be close to a train station and one of the must-see areas of Kyoto. For the price I paid, (about 8,500 yen / night), my room was huge by Japan standards. The staff was very accommodating and the room was well-appointed. It was also a 1-2 minute walk from the station and a convenience store, which carries almost everything tourists need for the short-term. The small downsides were a very limited (free) breakfast of rolls & coffee, most staff spoke little English, and the hotel had very basic facilities. For me personally - a traveller with simple needs (who speaks Japanese), it was as close to perfect as I could have hoped. I lived in Japan for 17 years and stayed at many hotels, ryokans, and minshikus. For overall value, this rates in my top 3.

    Love how the service was superb. They actually made an effort to message you when you are kinda late for the check-in. Informing ways to contact them if you are going to be late. It is walkable distance to Arabica probably 20mins as well to the Bamboo forest. If you want something less hectic, you can consider here. To town, about 40mins by bus. Yes!!! There is bus you can catch from central.

    It's an apartment that turned into a hotel. I do not think it's worth the price.
