About this apartment rental
This newly renovated condo accommodates up to 6 people in comfortable beds - no sofa beds here! The master bedroom features a king size bed with a 12 inch ventilated cool gel topped memory foam mattress; the living room offers a queen size Murphy bed with a 10 inch memory foam mattress; and the hallway has built in twin bunk beds with USB ports for the kids. The bathroom offers entrances from both the master bedroom and the hallway for convenience. In addition, the unit has a washer and dryer
The kitchen has newer stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, custom cabinets, bar seating and everything you need to prepare your favorite meal or just snacks for the beach. The tastefully decorated living area offers plenty of room to watch movies on the smart TV, play board games or just spend quality time together. Walk out onto the oversized balcony with seating for 8 and enjoy ocean views or watch the kids take a dip in the pool, which is heated in the cooler months.
The best part about Pelican Place is location, location, location. Direct access to white sandy beaches and emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico is just across the pedestrian friendly street. In addition, there are plenty of nearby shopping options, restaurants and entertainment.
* Note: Grand Caribbean East does not have elevators so this 2nd floor unit is only accessible by stairs.

This was a mother-daughter get away for a few days. The condo was clean and exactly as advertised. Access to the beach is super easy and just straight across the street. We had only 2 small complaints (which were not serious enough to even call the host over). The WiFi is quite slow, making it hard to stream any apps, and the tv is a little dated and difficult to operate because the remote options lag a bit when you’re trying to click on things. Maybe the remote batteries are low?? It rained one whole day during our stay so we stayed in a lot of that day watching movies. The other complaint is the upstairs neighbors were SUPER loud between the hours of 1 am- 3 am stomping the floors nonstop as they walked, and it seemed like they were just pacing around the apartment doing so. Again, we were only there a few nights and were not sure if those same people would even be there each night or not so we just didn’t mention it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Pelican Place and would definitely recommend staying there. Thank you, Shyla, for having us!

This vacation rental is absolutely perfect! It had everything we needed & more! The owner Shyla had constant communication and made sure everything was perfect including the little welcome basket of treats our 3 little boys loved This is our 8th time to Destin and 2nd staying at the Grand Caribbean East. We will definitely be back.The listing and pictures do not do this unit justice.

The condo was awesome. Small, compact but just enough room and super cute! The view was amazing. The beds were like clouds. To be able to just walk right across the street to the white sand beach was fantastic. The host was very easy to contact and fast to reply. definitely will be staying again!!
