Hotel in general, ok Breakfast was very nice but really crowded and took very long time to ask for an omelette. Staff, I think is embarrasing to have an hotel in a touristic city and the staff don't speak any english Room ok but been a hot and humid city, the AC was really noisy and was impossible to sleep with the AC on. And what I really hated was the fact that not been able to drink water from the tap, they didn't offer water for free, and they charge too much for a very small bottle

The hotel was ok. The location is a plus. The breakfast has a lot of variety but no gluten free options. The restaurant at the hotel is not a good one. The service is too slow and not orientated to the customer. They didn't have many options options of the menu and they didn't communicate it until a while after we ordered. The room was ok. The worst was that they charged twice the stay. At check in and automatically at check out. I claimed it because the credit card sent me an advice. After a couple of days the reverse the charge.

The hotel was very nice and have great views of the beach or inner city. We stayed at the 5th floor overlooking the pool and that was just perfect! Rooftop has nice game room and views of the ocean. The soaps and lotions smell really great!

The hotel was not well kept. The rooms are outdated, and the bathroom door was literally coming apart. Towels were old, rough, and felt overused. The front balcony view was the only highlight—truly beautiful—but unfortunately, the constant noise from traffic could be heard 24/7 even with the windows closed. Front desk staff didn’t leave much of an impression, more indifferent than helpful. On the positive side, breakfast was good and offered a nice variety. Overall, disappointing stay aside from the view and breakfast.

When checked in the hotel tried to set me to a lower floor despite my request for higher floor. The reason was they do not have the room avail. When i refused the room another room suddenly available. Too dishonest for my taste

The rooms were clean, modern and beds were very comfortable. All of the staff were so nice and accommodating - especially the staff at the pool bar and room service. The location was central and easy for tour transfers and Ubers to access. Great value for the price!

Great location, English speaking staff, beautiful decor, balcony view frim 11th floor simply breathtaking! Breakfast Buffet had a large selection, Pool, Bar and Restaurant all 5 starts. Security presence 24/7 felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Walkable area with ocean views. Would definitely recommend

What an accommodating and friendly staff. Amazing and wonderful. The only downside was that their restaurant options don't compare well with other venues. The breakfast buffet was rather small (but of good quality and the staff worked hard), and the size of the dining area means that the buffet dining options are split into two shifts whihc reduces flexibility.

Exceptional service from Raianny and Evelyn. These 2 made are experience exceptional giving us amazing services and very professional. I am one who travels and will be staying here in the future and look forward to it. The breakfast, room services, views of the beach from the balcony are exceptional. It is a very safe area and beach is groomed daily and very clean. The sand is super fluffy white and beautiful. I will compare to cayman island. The chairs and umbrellas across the street are free if you purchase 1 drink. The coconut water and drinks are very good and very cold. I love this place !!!

One of the best places one could stay in Rio de Janeiro. Very good structure inside the building and rooms. Very good breakfast and the Stilo Restaurant in the lobby near the pool. The SPA is very nice and having sauna and jacuzzi. Overall the experience has been more than satisfactory and it has been very nice to feel the hotel cares about its guests. Sometimes I had to leave to run some errands but there would always be someone of the staff keeping an eye on my Mother when I was not around. Thank you all heaps for the great stay and I shall be back! I also should make a remark I usually stay about one month in every hotel I go ans therefore I have all the elements to express a legit opinion. A good hotel does feel like you are actually home and Laghetto is exactly like that. Kudos for all and most obliged once more! Anyway, I did hear the rumor that a staff member is about to write a mystery book portraying the Laghetto Stilo and all the staff as the actual book characters. Ain’t it tops? Another staff member working in the Stilo restaurant is a great singer and you see a great deal of talented people out and about, which depicts the hotel as a power force not only as a great place to stay but as well as a place where true talent runs in the veins. The drinks are superb and the food is so fine that you can come back from the beach and feast.

Bathroom ceiling is covered in very large mould stains due to excessive moisture from the shower which get's trapped in there as there is no active ventilation. The whole hotel needs a refresher, it feels outdated and everywhere you see broken or damaged items which shows clearly a lack of maintenance. The pictures on hotels.com only show well maintained rooms, but in reality the rooms need to be refreshed properly. It feels unhygienic. Part of the breakfast which should be warm is served cold, like scrambled egg and cheese bread. The reception and security is insisting for it's guests to wear a wrist band which is really annoying. They say this is for safety reasons, but it makes you feel like you are in an all inclusive resort, but you are not. The wrist band is just really annoying. The sliding door on the balcony is damaged and could not be locked. The frame of the sliding doors is not properly fitted, so a lot of street noise enters the room 24/7. The rooftop bar was not open. There were a couple of seats that looked blown over. The windows on the rooftop area are so dirty you can't see the view.

Wonderful, check in staff were kind and extremely helpful. I left my prescription sunglasses and my wallet around the pool and they were left for me at the reception area! Absent minded and jet lagged. Very relieved to have got them both back! Great ocean front view room❤️

Very pleased with our stay, right across the beach, beautiful view, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, and the area does feel very safe. The rooms are a bit small, almost like NYC style. We had an issue with ants in the bathroom, minor and I chose not to report. Overall, I'd recommend Laguetto for sure.
