Great lodge with widlife all around. Great breakfast. An easy walk to town and the national park to really get a feel for the area and to have different options for dinner etc.

We loved our stay. I was worried about no air conditioning but the giant fan worked great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We woke up to birdsong every day. I only have 2 complaints. The first was that we frequently didn’t have hot water for our showers. The second was that there was no way to tip with a credit card at checkout so I had to scramble for cash.

Our bungalow was excellent and the air conditioning came in very handy. Property is beautifully presented and within easy walking distance of Tortuguero village. Guides are excellent so Id recommend tours through the hotel - the pricing is reasonable and it's much more convenient.
