STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY AT ALL COSTS! When my family and I decided to hop the pond and visit Rome, Milan, Naples & Florence, it wasn't because we were excited to immerse ourselves in the lifestyle of the ancient Romans or throw the contents of our bed pans out the window like they did in the medieval era, or even be part of excited renaissance period, it was to enjoy "seeing" all these things 800 - 3000 years later. Well, at the Adre "Majestic" View Hotel, you will get to experience all those things in the 21st century. Let's start with Expedia room pictures. They are NOT all from the Adre Majestic Hotel, the nice pictures are from their three-star hotel, which is the hotel that you check in at, just around the block, the ones with the red staircase and the tiny ones are from the Adre, but those must be 10+ yrs old cause the rooms now are worst-than-hostel-like environments. Oh, and if you are thinking that the 96 - 119 sq ft. measurements on the hotel listing are an error, it is not; these rooms are as small as a 1930 War home bedroom. Now on to the hotel "features" 1. Buffet breakfast available - Where? lol. 2. Housekeeping (daily) - Have to ask for it 3. Connecting/adjoining rooms - No 4. Air Conditioning - You get a fan 5. Rooms - Queens are two single beds pushed together Cleanliness - the room smelled like ammonia & we found a bed bug our last day. We reported all this & the front desk did nothing. We even brought them the bed bug. Stay very far away!

The staff here was incredible- such a warm welcome and a warm goodbye. The room was pretty bare- it definitely didn't feel like a cozy stay, but we had sufficient bedding, towels and hot water. We spent one night, just to stop and see the Statue of David. I can't imagine spending more time in the room- it was quite bare and not set up for much lounging. But it was steps away from the museum, and steps away from the train. Perfect location, and the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and kind.

The building smells like sewer, the smell climb through the pipe to the shower drain and the entire room was smelly all the time. They just take cash and said that post was broken. The first day, they did not turn on the hot water so I had to take a very cold shower, may be 8 degrees Celsius. It was an unpleasant experience.

Very convenient to the central tourist area. Easily walkable to most things. Room was small as we didn't use the small loft. Shower was very small and the door did not work very well. Check-in is at the Hotel Venito, which is a short walk away. That hotel is easier to find than where you will actually stay. Overall, fine for our purposes.

Spent 45 minutes looking for the hotel, a paser by told me that reception was in a diferent hotel. The pics are of a diferent place, room smeled terrible, no heating, the showeris so small could not use it.terrible,terrible hotel

It’s not a relaxed arrival when you reach the entrance but it’s not open, there’s no sign, and the phone number you call is out of service. In my opinion it’s a small effort to inform guests in advance that check-in is at a different hotel around the corner. The staff was all right, the room was well enough, the view good (but I wouldn’t call it majestic). It’s in a building that has regular apartments for residents, of which at least one sometimes blocks the lift/elevator from use. If the shower works, it’s an extremely small space to wash yourself in. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, even after we informed the front desk about it. All in all it’s adequate.

There was a thug in the reception advising the receptionist to send us away if we didnt like the room. However, our money was not going to be reimbursed. Most of all, we were with two kids and it was past 10:30 at night to go anywhere else.Honestly, this so-called hotel is for rats! I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with Hotels.com having this hotel advertised in its website.

This place was not what I expected. The pictures are totally different to what I saw when I got there. The bathroom was the worst. I could barely turn in there or even dress. There were no tiles or anything on the floor so it was just concrete and all the water from the shower was spraying everywhere. The shower and the actual toilet is not really separated so when you shower, even tehe toilet gets wet along with the sink. It was just horrible. Then there were bugs in the bedroom area, including bugs under the sheets. And when I told the managers about this, they reacted like this was nothing and then they put some sheets over the infected beds which does not do anything. I had to beg to be moved to another room. Though this place was cheap, people still should not have to deal with bugs or an uncleaned room. The next day, they pretended that nothing happened and never even apologized for this. There was no hair dryer in my room even though their page said that the room would have one. There was no air condiitoner, or even a fan, so it was very hot in the room. There were a lot of mosquitoes and a lot of noise coming from the streets at night.

I stayed in the dormitory. The place was extremely hard to find... No one seemed to know exactly where it was. Really, you Guys need to send directions from the bus station on how to get here. Check in is in a completely different location than the address provided... Honestly, I was so tired and was carrying heavy bags, and was extremely annoyed about this. The dormitory is co Ed, which is fine, but the bathroom is in the room and only has a sliding screen door that doesn't close all the way.... You can hear everything! Also, there are no hooks in the bathroom and no place to put anything besides on the toilet seat! ..... Come on guys, I know this is a budget place to stay, but invest a couple bucks in some hooks in the bathroom, it's the least you could do. I don't like having to rest my nightgown and robe on a toilet seat!!!!

very easy found, and reach from the main train station, about 15 min walk. kindly hotel staff. check-in place is at another hotel just on the opposite street. A small elevator only for one person with your luggages. good area for restaurants and bars, easy way going to Duomo, 10 mins walk. just towel available in the room. Very noisy at the night for it is by the street and some bars nearby with loud music, so double think for those who requires a quiet condition for sleeping. Overall, it deserves its price. Oh, breakfast is really nothing...not recommended.

Our stay in Veneto Residence met our needs for an affordable place to stay in Florence. The location is great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Its worth mentioning though, that Veneto Hotel and Veneto Residence are actually in two different buildings, down the street from one another. Also, our double bed was in fact two twins (common in Europe) and not very comfortable.

I would say our experience in this hotel in Florence would be so so... The highlight is, it close to city center. About 10-15 min walk from the train station which is good. Just about 1 block away from Academia (a museum that houses statue of David). You need to check in at a different hotel which is hotel Delfino just about 20mtrs away from Casa Micol or else you can't get in since there is no information desk. We got our room in the third floor which i don't mind since we can handle it. There is an elevator that is good for 1 person only, will carry 2 if your small. Going to the room, bed is not that comfortable, washroom is about 6x6 foot in size, has a sink, toilet and a shower. In my opinion, I am not really impressed with it. Furthermore, our room has a spiral stairs inside which looks like an attic?? I tried to check it out up stairs but there is nothing but full of dust. Sounds creepy at first but we got over it. I think we just got lucky we end up on that room that was in the end of the hall. Seems to be quite at night which is better so that you can have a descent sleep. All in all i would rate it 3/5? maybe 2.5 but because it is close to academia i would say 3. As they say you get what you payed for. Of all places in Italy I've been so far, Florence is the most expensive one. For sure Venice it would be but we stayed in Mestre to save a bit. Wrapping things up, I still didn't regret it, We only stayed there for 2 nights anyway and it is cheap. Enjoy your trip!!!

Finding the hotel was easy, but checking in wasn't. What they don't tell you is that you actually check in at a different hotel across the street. Which we never would have realized without the help of a resident in the complex. Their is no ac which is awful in the humidity of Florence, the wifi connection is horrible, and it's on a really busy street so at night it was very hard to fall asleep. The water from the shower and sink also smelled like bleach which was concerning... But the location was good with it being close to the train station and the heart of Florence. The staff were very nice and accompdating though. The amount you pay is exactly what you get. Not much.
