Profumo Maison Colosseo

A wonderful old hotel conveniently located a few blocks from the Colosseum. The staff was very accommodating, allowing us early check in .. carrying our heavy luggage upstairs , arranged for our car from the port and to the airport and called many taxis in between.. the staff makes the stay. Rooms are typically older style European but beds were comfortable and bathroom provided everything you need. We also found a wonderful rooftop restaurant right out the door to the west which we liked enough to return a second time.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and everything was very clean and well maintained. The location is fantastic, set in a safe neighborhood where I felt comfortable even at night. It is only a 5 to 7 minute walk from the Colosseum and about a 14 minute walk from Metro Line A, which made getting around very easy. The staff were kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful both during the planning process and throughout my stay. Their attention to detail and hospitality did not go unnoticed. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome!

rooms r really small and there is no elevators. staff was helpful and friendly.

We had an excellent time at Profumo Colosseo! The location was fantastic, just a very quick walk right to the Colosseum. We were a family of four, so we had a larger room with a bed and sleeper sofa for our (teenage) kids, and we all agreed the beds were the most comfortable of our entire stay in Italy. A few others in our group had rooms in the hotel, too, which were much smaller than our room but still very nice. Be sure to eat at Pizza Forum a block away. Ate there twice and it was fantastic. Thanks for a great stay!
