Great location. Clean and comfortable. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Special acknowledge to Helios at the front desk. Hotel is extremely convenient for the central train station (just across the street)

Comfortable room with good beds and great bathroom. A large lift for luggage . Good service from helpful staff. Window in room was great as heating was warm. Nice chairs and area to sit. We will stay again.

No where to drop bags off with the car. There is only one small bay that was full of parked motorcycles. Perfect position if arriving by train not car. Pillows are usual Swiss feather type would be nice to have options.

It was a very pleasant stay, the vibe was calm, quiet and kind. The room was clean and the cookies and chocolate inside were a welcome surprise. The bed and particularly the pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast had everything we needed and I particularly enjoyed the tea selection, it was really good tea. Also the staff were all so kind and polite and professional but warm at the same time.

Good sized clean room with nice bathroom and well maintained. Really well located for train station.

The location was fantastic, opposite the train station and a short walk in to the main centre, and only about 3-4 minutes walk from the lakeside. With it being opposite the train station, you have lots of options for connections for trains and buses.

The pillows were too soft, and mainly air - they 'deflated' when leaned on. Also, the shower head was not as secure as it should be so rotated round when in use from the power of the water. - very minor points though, we really enjoyed our stay.

The double room although has a comfortable bed, it doesn’t have a comfortable toilet since the the toilet ‘s door doesn’t close properly and has no sound isolation.

Excellent location in Geneva and very convenient for a short stay.

Excellent location near the train station and a lovely old building nicely renovated with quiet rooms. Staff were welcoming and helpful and we had a comfortable nights sleep. It was nice to have a coffee machine.

The rooms are very small with limited space for luggage and spaces for your clothes and belongings.

Gem of a hotel

Great hotel, central location for shops and lake, clean rooms , staff friendly, loved the electric blackout blinds. There was no noise problems even though hotel is opposite the main rail station and tramline.

Im being picky when I say this. The pillows did not have much substance or hold their shape, it did affect sleep for me, the rest of the group slept well.

The hotel has an excellent location. The staff is super helpful. The room was nice and clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The overall experience in this hotel was great. I suggest staying at Bernina.

Excellent choice

Beautiful hotel with breakfast included, private pool and air conditioning. The room had a front patio and back patio to enjoy coffee or a drink in privacy. Walking distance to encuentro beach to surf and have a coffee or fresh smoothie.

Lack of wardrobe space in the room. It would be simple, for example, to install a few drawers underneath one of the bedside tables, which would transform the experience. As it is, arranging one's clothes is difficult.

Apart from the temperature from the hot water tap, I couldn’t fault it.

Considerate, helpful, polite and friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room; small (bijou!), which is what I expected. Window opened, which I’d requested. Timber floors (no carpet), which I really like. Complementary beer and chocolate in the room. Comfortable bed and linen. Big TV. Good buffet breakfast, included in the price. No restaurant facilities otherwise, but plenty of restaurants nearby. Theres no hotel bar, but there’s a buzzing pub right next door.

Water not quite hot enough, but tolerable for a quick shower. Otherwise I couldn’t fault the clean little bathroom.

Great location, efficient and clean rooms

Great location! We walked everywhere - old town, lakeshore, bus station, etc. Easy to find from the train station (across the street). The staff was friendly. We were able to check in early (for a fee), which was wonderful as we arrived from overseas at 7am. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, but it smelled wonderful every morning when we walked by! We stayed in a room with two twin beds - the room was small, but clean/efficient, and beds comfortable. The bathroom had shampoo/body wash, but no conditioner or lotion, so make sure to pack your own if needed.

The only minor thing would be that you have to pay for the coffee/tea in the lobby/lounge. While we had a free machine in the room, it would have been nice to enjoy tea in the lobby/lounge area without having to bring it from our room. Otherwise everything was great!

Comfortable and welcoming in an excellent location for a stop-over or short stay.

The room was comfortable and clean with a well appointed and ensuite bathroom. Although the balcony was small, it was good to have extra light and air when I wanted. It also demonstrated how well insulated the room was: with the balcony door closed there was no street noise discernible at all. Outside shutters gave an added screen against outside noise and light, were easy to control and were the quietest to operate.

If it is possible to criticise anything, it is would be the range of food available at breakfast did not include hot dishes. I think that is largely a cultural thing, with the French style being foremost. That said, there was a selection of cold meats, cheeses, pastries as well as boiled eggs, toast, fruit, yogurts and cereals and hot and cold drinks.

A little pricey for what you get.

The room was clean and convenient location across from the train station. Staff was polite and helpful.

The air conditioning did not keep the room cool. Being a triple room there was no where to hang clothes or towel. No hooks and only a towel rack for small hand towels.

Only breakfast shoud be improved

The hotel is perfectly located right in the city center, opposite the main train station. It’s very convenient to get from the airport by bus number 5, the Gare Cornavin stop is at the same train station. You can easily explore the whole city on foot or by public transport, and the lake is just a couple of minutes away. A big thank you for the free public transport pass, which also includes the mouette boats! The bed was amazing – super comfortable mattress and pillows, I had an excellent sleep.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing. There were no scrambled eggs or omelets, the boiled colored eggs from the supermarket were cold and tasteless. They also served raw eggs, which many guests (including me) mistook for boiled ones. Overall, breakfast could definitely be improved.

Location is excellent with ultra easy access to bus, light rain, and train. Many, many restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. Grocery store across the street in the train station. Staff is excellent and helpful. Premises are very clean.

It was a well located hotel for visiting Geneva, especially if one is traveling by train.

We had excellent experience and would recommend anyone wishing to stay in Geneva for a short period

The location of the hotel is very central and close to the train station. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and corteous. They helped us with finding restaurants, visiting local places of interest and all the necessary information that we needed.

Nothing to dislike and we were comfortable. The room is small but we only needed the room to sleep.

Only one toilet that’s not in your room so if you check out early and have to change it’s tricky. One of the staff (lady) wasn’t that kind. I asked to leave my room key to go for a run and she acted like I asked to stay there for free. Isn’t it better if I don’t drop it somewhere? She said it’s not usually part of their service… but surely it’s part of being accommodating? She said eventually agreed but when I tried it again the next day, the guy was so lovely, accepted the key, took note of it and wished me a great run

A great stay in a functional hotel in a great location

The proximity to the train station( just across the road), easy access to trams and short walk to the lake puts this hotel in great demand. Hotel recently renovated and so quiet. Reception staff very knowledgeable and helpful.

I can highly recommend this very nice hotel, centrally located, kind staff, comfortable & clean room

I particularly appreciated the hotel location, right in front of the main station Cornavin. I could travel, by train, and, upon arrival, I just crossed the street and entered into the hotel. Upon departure, I had an early train and it was very easy and fast to, again, cross the street and jump into the station. The room was of fair dimension and very comfortable. I could particularly appreciate its cleaness and quite environment. The minibar offering water, bier and chocolate, free of charge, a real asset. Equally, the possibility to prepare coffee or tea, in-room. The check-in was easy and staff very kind.

As a matter of fact, my experience at Bernina Hotel was very good. The double room I could reserve was very nice, maybe, not that big, but I was travelling alone and for work reasons, and it fitted well for my needs.
