Beautiful quiet resort like stay with breakfast included!

Beautiful quiet resort like hotel with a sauna and pool. Staff were extremely lovely, polite and helpful which made my day. The room was perfect and quite big with coffee and tea making facilities and a descent sized fridge. The breakfast buffet was included in the stay and was excellent! Many choices of breads, cheese, eggs and bacon, fruit, yogurt and cereals, plus fruit shots which were delicious! Right next door there is a huge shopping mall with many restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets and clothing shops.

The indoor pool is not heated, so it’s a little cold. No free espresso machine at the breakfast buffet, the coffee available at the breakfast bar is drip filter. Espresso costs €3.80 at reception. The bright lights on the balcony cannot be switched off so it shines a little through the cracks in the curtains at night.

Fantastic and especially the friendly staff. Oops I saw a question about the breakfast. The kindness of the staff and their attention. The easiness to enter during late hours.

As I stayed only one night I did not visit more places in the hotell except for the lobby and breakfast room but this I think could have been better. 1. The TV - such low quality and I did not really know how to manage it anyway except for trial and error. 2. I did not see any information folder but maybe I did not find it? 3. Better tourist information in the lobby. 4. The - städvagn in Swedish - cleaning wagon - was not very easy to handle - they need better equipment. 5. Funny though that your offer was higher than the one at booking.com. 6. I would have liked more information about what was going on outside and their working hours and the plans for the future - WHAT will happen there - will they build many houses that will affect you and the stay of your guests. As I did not use the balcony due to the season it did not bother me very much but you could have written something in the lobby about it?

Excellent stay in Tapiola.

The hotel is located right at the Espoo Tapiola commercial centre, with lots of shops and transports (metro, buses, taxis etc.) right there. Very clean and modern facilities. The room was medium-size, well appointed, with a spanking clean bathroom. The hotel sauna was great (took a morning sauna at 9am and it was bliss!). Great Nordic style breakfast with absolutely everything you can imagine. We also ate at the restaurant one evening with a group of eight persons. Service was very friendly but slightly slow, as the place was full to the last seat. A very good stay and a perfect location for this trip.

Several sports teams were staying at the hotel at the same time and the breakfast room got quite crowded... Nothing much to be done about it, except perhaps the staff could have suggested to other guests to come early for breakfast.. But that was a very minor issue.

The hotel is located in a quiet area next to a small lake, quite close to the metro station Tapiola with a big shopping centre. The room was spatious and air-conditioned with the possibility to regulate the temperature and the intensity. Internet connection worked well without any severe problems. Staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast was tasty and there was a variety of different meals. Cleaning of rooms is not done automatically every day (not sure if this is standard in Finnland, since I saw it in multiple hotels), which saves resources for e.g. washing the towels, and still it can be requested every day at the reception.

The window of the room was directly facing a public terrace, so basically anybody could look into the room and therefore the curtains had to be closed, also the window could not be opened. Although it was just one floor about the reception, according to the receptionist there was no convenient way to use the stairs to access the room and everytime I had to use the lift to go to the second floor, but then I had to go down the stairs after exiting the lift since the room was placed about half of the floor lower than the lift.

Business trip, two night stay

Delightful surprise and a superb experience. Tapiola is finally almost done, and you have all the services you could possibly ask for. Also, this hotel has recently undergone a complete renovation, and I liked the room and other facilities such as the restaurant and breakfast area. The location is perfect also if you're planning to visit Helsinki. Extra mention for the very welcoming and friendly staff throughout the stay. I will stay here again for sure.

I gave "just" 9/10. There are just a few things to improve. The room was clean but not exceptionally clean. Buffet breakfast was good, not exceptional, and coffee could be a lot better. Some machine for the special coffees or the new Nespresso Vertuo capsules would do the trick. The hotel restaurant wasn't open on Sunday evening, but I do understand this, and it's a general problem in Finland when it's so expensive to keep the restaurants open on Sundays, which is very sad. I also had some issues with the WiFi, especially in my room.

Worst from Sokos group

Location was good, next to a mall with a lot of restaurants

I thought that going to a Sokos group hotel would be sure place to go, but I was wrong. 1. Expensive parking. While booking I didn’t see a note that says I have to pay for parking. Two days parking cost me ~40€ 2. Room has absolutely no storage space. First thing I noticed was that the room had no closets or shelves or anything to put my stuff in. Should I just have my stuff in the suitcase the whole time? 3. Room description clearly states that there’s a table and a minibar. There was no table or a chair and the minibar was completely empty. Where do I do my work? in bed? 4. Not cleaned at all. Everything around the bed was dusty and had pieces of hair everywhere. Horrific 5. Bathroom had few toiletry items. just your basic soap and shampoo. Some towels were dirty.
