Zel Punta Cana, All Suites - All inclusive

Perfect balance between family fun + wellness activities.

Great service and very nice.

The only comments I have are: the booking says housekeeping daily, but the last 2 days we were there, we still had trash in the 1 trashcan provided. The bed wasn’t made. The mini fridge wasn’t restocked. Glassess still in the sink. The towels were not taken up. I also noticed 2-4 pieces of hair in the bathtub and toilet room. And there was a type of brown or red liquid on the wall next to the sinks. As far as pleasing to look at, it’s about 60-40. The stones, wood, and glass were beautiful, but if you like perfection, just saying there was cracks and paint that are uneven. Unfortunately we booked so many activities, we didn’t experience the pool at all. But we did use the spa. Which I loved the massages and facials. I got a pedicure with gel. And it isn’t picture perfect, but a decent job. My pedicure did not come with the cheese grater or they just don’t do that there, unsure. Most of the staff if you speak English only know common words. The workers that can speak sentences are the front desk and the sales people. We did have a hard time booking dinners. Most of the time the reservations were full and we ate at the buffet, which was good, but we just like choices every day. I had one encounter of the bar server sounded a little aggravated with me, other than that. I don’t know if I will return to the spa because I’d like to experience what all the other resorts provide. And then I’ll know my answer.

The location is excellent. Although the hotel is not directly on the beachfront, the beach is just a very short walk away, and the path to get there is pleasant and easy. The entire resort is very well organised and exceptionally clean, the suite is also well decorared, confortable which really contributed to a very pleasant stay. The staff were, in general, very friendly and helpful, with only one or two exceptions. However, I don’t think it would be fair to negatively evaluate the whole experience because of the occasional lack of professionalism from an individual member of staff. I also really enjoyed the variety of restaurants and the way each one can adapt to different types of cuisine and concepts. The different spaces and their overall design are very well thought out and make the resort feel diverse and interesting. The food is also good. Overall, I have no significant negative points to mention. I had a wonderful experience and would be happy to return.
