We were disappointed with the room which was noisy. The noise was from the normal movement of furniture, other guests in the floor above, next door or in entrance. The issue is a lack of suitable sound insulation – the exposed ceilings mean there is only the floorboards above. The room also had little natural light (one window to an internal courtyard) so we had to step outside to check the weather. On a positive note the location is close to the centre.

Fantastic value. Fantastic breakfast with loads of choice. Couldn’t fault it at all for the price we paid. Only thing we really missed was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Great location to the arena only a few mins walk. All staff so helpful. Would return back here.

We stayed for 3 nights. Hotel was close to historical center but on a quiet lane, so had a peaceful night. Hotel accommodated to our requests. Only it was hard to see staff around when we were about. Room was quite small and shower simply too small. Tall person had to sit sideways on the wc coz knees hit shower wall. Shower cabin was tiny and water didnt go down. Breakfast Italian style. It was good with fresh croissants.

We really enjoyed our stay at Marco Polo, and would definitely go back in the future. The location was perfect, and shops and restaurants were walkable. The room was clean and cosy. The staff were absolutely lovely, especially Nicole.

One of the best three stars I've stayed in: lovely room with rustic character, and in a quiet but central location. All the facilities: pleasant and clean ensuite, television, minibar, safe, even a small walk-in wardrobe. The breakfast was great too.

The bed was made of rocks ants in our room asked for a cleaner no one came. The toilet was so small you genuinely can’t physically sit down with leg room. Location is amazing but apart from that avoid

The female desk clerk was pleasant and she tried to be helpful. We were put in their secondary building which was a real dump. We booked two beds and were given one. When we asked that the beds be pulled apart, we were advised that the chamber maids were gone. The man who brought us extra sheets refused to pull the beds apart and rudely stated that it’ll get done “tomorrow” and then he walked away. The separation of the beds became our issue. Ugh! The shower was so small and inconvenient. The upside, the breakfast was good and the restaurant staff members were pleasant.

I was directed by Google to the old Marco Polo hotel however this one has no reception or staff on site (except cleaners at times). I pressed the buzzer and told to go to the new Marco Polo hotel (about 60 metres) to checkin and then come back to the old hotel for my room. Breakfast is also back in the new hotel. The new Marco Polo hotel is still called Gallery Rooms on Google and other hotel websites. The new hotel looks very nice inside although I didn’t see the rooms. Unfortunately my room was in the old hotel. Even on the outside it looks dirty and uninviting. The rooms were of a good size but that’s it. Firstly there is a lot of noise both from outside and inside. Secondly the shower is a joke. It is so small and the shower head is a small stream. The room had a fridge with drinks to purchase but the fridge wasn’t on so they were all warm. Who would pay 3 euros for a warm can of Coca Cola? There is no kettle or tea/coffee and not even tissues. The hotel is a 3 star but at the very low end. To be fair, the hotel was in a convenient location and breakfast was great. However I would recommend booking Gallery Rooms instead.

Located conveniently on a quiet street. Easy walking distance to Verona centre and train station. Staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned daily. Our room had a fridge and hairdryer. Really pleased with our stay. Would recommend to anyone.

The hotel is ideally situated near the Arena square, with local shops, supermarket and restaurants. A 20 minute walk to the train station, for those wanting to take a train to Venice. Friendly service, good breakfast. We would give a 3 star plus rating.

Hotel very good location for exploring Verona, downside was our room the bathroom toilet is extremely close too shower making it very hard too use the toilet comfortably. Other people in our group didn't have same issue, but our room the toilet should go where the bidet is.
