About this house rental
The most unique property in the area; fun & funky, this 1940's Train Depot has been turned into a stunning modern getaway on a full acre in the middle of NW Austin. 5 min to the Domain/Apple/IBM/Q2 Stadium, & only 15 min to downtown, this oasis of tranquility offers a huge deck shaded by live oaks, room to roam, a firepit, arcade, see ponies next door, & lots of parks/trails/restaurants nearby. The star of the show is the gorgeous kitchen, with imported quartzite counters & open concept living.
This is a three bedroom three bath home with two living areas (each with a queen sleeper sofa), with plenty of living and entertaining space. We even have a 60+ game arcade table, as well as another large board game/poker table or designated workspace. Spoil yourself in the kitchen with stunning quartzite countertops and fully loaded kitchen supplies, or step outside to soak up the breeze on the large deck, or have a campfire in the back yard. There is sleeping & eating space for 12. Note that the two single beds are a trundle set located in a huge closet attached to the en-suite bedroom with the king bed; Ideal for families or good friends.
*Furnishings and amenities will be furnished as described whenever possible. In the event that an item is damaged/broken/lost the Host will restock as soon as possible. All items in description/pictures are not guaranteed.
Guests will have access to the entire house except one locked closet used for host storage and extra supplies.
Other things to note
Please be aware that we have noticed poison ivy in the back yard in the past. We have tried to eradicate it, but please be watchful and mindful when using that space. There is calamine lotion and a first aid kit above the washer, should you need it.
We also request that you thoroughly read and review our House Rules with all members of your group before arrival; there are extra fees that will be charged for failure to keep the House Rules and checkout times. Thank you!!

We found this spot when we came to Austin to celebrate my daughter’s 30th. We used this place to convene the family. It was perfect - we sat on the beautiful deck, watched 5 deer, made a great dinner. The beds are comfortable, plenty of group and individual space. Awesome location -

Train Depot farmhouse was super nice with pleasant surprise that it was even better than online picturesThe house was very clean and had all the extras needed to enjoy home away from home. The beds were great! Nice large yard with opportunities to see interesting birds, deer and other wildlife. The neighbor houses are quite far away adding to the tranquil private setting. And the neighborhood local streets made for relaxing, quiet walks.Finally the host Melisa was very responsive for our few minor questions. A bonus was the 1980s arcade game for little trip down memory lane
