We really enjoyed our stay. Morning breakfast buffet was terrific. Plentiful and interesting. Nice beer garden to have lunch. Serve a great local beer. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to our very limited German. Limited # of parking spaces, but some nearby if you stay out late and none are left when you return.

Lovely place. Clean comfortable. All bar one staff member was excellent!! Sadly the very rude older lady spoiled the reputation of this establishment. She has the customer service skills of Basil Fawlty. Would not return because of her. Rude , unfriendly, in the wrong job. Spoke to me like I’d just wiped dog poo on the table! Receptionist and young lads on the bar were brilliant!

My husband and I have stayed at the Ochsenwirt many times and it never disappoints. The owners were on vacation but they provided us an excellent breakfast. We always feel like we are "home" while staying her. Highly recommend this establishment in Oberaudorf.

We had afsked for two dobbel rooms close by, they answered they would try. But when we arrived they gave rooms in two different buildings, 1 double and 1 single, we had asked for 2 double. After a lot of talking, she finally gave us rooms in the same building. Although they had answered our request, the one in the reception did not act the way they had promised. The restaurant was expensive.

Nice stay, close to Erl in Austria, home of the Tiroler Festspiele. A nice Biergarten and good Augustiner beer. The breakfast was very good organised. Due to the ongoing pandemic, still some umcomfortable restrictions. Overall a nice stay at this very typical Bavarian village.

This is our "go to" place to stay in Oberaudorf. The room was wonderful and most important for us - the beds were very comfortable. It is easy to get to the train station to go other places and have the Ochsenwirt as your home base. Breakfast was also delicious, never disappoints.

We loved the hotel. For us, the room was a bit stuffy. We had to sleep with the window open, even though it was winter. Other than that, we found it to be very nice and comfortable.

Absolutely lovely! Great clean room with hot water and comfy bed. Amazing breakfast with accommodating staff. Each morning I would request just coffee and then return later for eating and the waitress was so sweet bringing me my large coffee before I sat down. As a vegetarian, both breakfast buffet and dinner menu had many items I could enjoy! It felt like home and would return.

Nice little room with old-style solid wood furniture. Very good and efcective heating - very nice in the cold winter conditions. Breakfast was also superior, all local meat stuff + general items, tea, coffee, juices, etc.

We received a lovely, personal welcome. The traditional room was beautiful and the standard of food was fantastic. If it is warm enough then we suggest you eat outside in the lovely area set aside. It gets busy and this creates a lovely atmosphere.

The hotel is hidden away at the back of the village. The accomodation area and rooms are very quaint and cosy with everything built from local wood (furniture, fittings, wall panels etc). Comfortable beds, small but clean shower room / toilet and the rooms are also large enough to accomodate a table and some chairs - more like small suiterooms, actually. The beer garden and restaurant provide a great service of drinks and food (from 6.00pm) with friendly , English speaking waitresses. A good continental buffet breakfast provided in a largish dining room with plenty of seating. Not much to do in the village, really, but the guest house itself provided all you need for evenings in between your daytime activities out and about in Bavaria or Austria.

A beautiful chalet/byre converted in to a large guest house. The staff were really friendly and tried their best to speak English, whilst I tried my best to speak German - there is a resturant menu in English and I can really recommend the food - the venison in a nut crust, ad pork with potatoes, green beans and bacon are both fantastic. Their local beer was also very good. The rooms are simple but light and clean and if you like to hike then there is plenty to see - go down to Kufstein and head out into the Wilder Keiser mountains.

Despite a slight delay with checking in (although this could simply be attributed to staff believing we may not arrive due to BA strikes) everything was superb. Our double room was spotless and lovely and welcoming. The shower room was also spotless and clearly had been recently renovated. The hotel itself was very quiet, although i suspect it is a very different situation during the peak sking and winter sports season and in summer and the area is perfectly suited to hiking holidays. The breakfast buffet was also to a fine standard. the usual cerials and fruit were on offer with a nice selection also of cold meats and cheeses.. A useful fact was that free wi-fi is offered which is great for double checking lastminute travel and itinery details All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and the town as a great place to spend a few days away from it all or as as part or a wintersports break.
