We had a fabulous 7 night stay in a deluxe pool villa, we loved it , it was clean ,spacious & a very comfy bed. Having a private pool was so luxurious to be able to cool off whenever we felt hot & the sun loungers were a bonus to relax on. All of the staff are so friendly & welcoming. The breakfast was delicious & freshly cooked to order . Also the Spa massages were brilliant , the best we have had in Bali ever ! Highly recommend Sun Island & cant wait to stay again.

Was great staying here as it was central to everything - shopping, restaurants, clubs etc. Staff were always friendly and great talking too! They had great tips and advice about different places to go or services to use etc. Room was cleaned daily, breakfast was lovely and all you needed. Pool was a bit dirty at times but that was the only thing.

This is our 2nd stay at Sun Island and it was just as we remembered so beautiful and quiet. The rooms are lovely and spacious and cool. The staff are so friendly and accommodating I would recommend Sun Island if your looking for a place that is in the middle of everything and is really quiet.

The property was tucked just behind the bustling main stretch of the stalls selling their items. It made for a quiet relaxing stay - we didnt hear any of the traffic. The range of massages offered by the villas was incredible and well worth it. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend stating - more variation in the breakfast menu would be good

Upon arrival the Villa did not have my booking and the staff were amazing at finding a solution. The villa was a good size and clean pool and linen was lovely. I have stayed in Villas a lot in Bali and have never had to ask for crockery and cutlery, no glasses, no plates, no knives or forks....2 coffee cups with saucer and teaspoon only. I had to ask for glasses and a bottle opener, the one glass I was given was promptly talen away the next day and no other items were supplied. A water dispenser is supplied, but no glasses to drink out of. I feel the staff are doing there best with the resources thay have. The most shocking thing was the urine stain marks on the stone tiles, the staff advised me the stone is hard to clean but I have never seen this in any Bali villa. The one restaurant meal I had was reheated pizza and what tasted like days old pork belly with packet sauce and packet mash.... I was going to book this Villa for my daughter but definitely will not now. The location, security, and villa size are the few good things about Sun Island Boutique Villas. I will definitely be going back to Villa Bugis or Jas Green Villas instead.

The staff are all so lovely - it’s quiet - the gardens are amazing - the main pool is lovely my whole family loved it - cocktails by the pool. The villas are in need of a bit of care - but considering COVID just happened we were just so happy to be back in Bali

We stayed at the sun island for a one night stay due to a cancelled flight. Check in and communication was smooth The Villa was lovely, and well kept with all the needed amentites. Whilst the bed did look clean from the outside perspective when we took off the doona we noticed many stains which made us both uncomfortable for the night. Breakfast was tasty and a good range of options. Bring your bug spray though as a lot of mosquitos around the area. Great location within the main area of Seminyak close by to restaurants and the Bintang supermarket

Happy with the property ,and the staff were amazing ,but there are a couple of things that would stop me recommending 1st the wifi is terrible,the wifi will drop out every hour is so meaning you have to resign in all the time which is terribly frustrating. The next couple of things are out of their control but have a great effect on the quality of the stay There is a rooster near by that like to start his daily Routine around 4.30 , I suggest you bring ear plugs if you want to stay asleep past that time, by day 3, I was wearing my noise cancellation headphones to bed to try and sleep in. There is also no reception from any of the carriers, you basically have to leave the villa and sit in the parking lot if you need reception for any reason whatsoever ever , which is a complete pain ,especially when you get eaten alive by bugs in the car park. Overall a ok stay,would be amazing if a couple of pain points were somehow rectified

Conveniently located near to all amenities. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them when making special requests. The villa is spacious, the bed comfortable and it was fabulous to have our own private pool. The resort pool is lovely. The restaurant served a limited menu but what was offered was tasty. It is a shame the day spa is not yet operating however there are many fabulous spas within walking distance of the resort. Highly recommended for couples and solo travellers. I will definitely stay here again.

The villa is spacious. The private pool is good for dipping but if you wanna swim , head out to the main swimming pool. The entrance to the compound is located at the main road of Seminyak - which is convenient - while the villas are located deep within the compound that they are reasonably tranquil and serene. My main gripe about the villa is its poor Internet connection which was a big issue for me as I was here for business. At its worst, my Zoom calls would get disconnected every 15mins. The hotel staff tried their best to move me to a unit closest to the Internet router (Villa #21). But even that was not nearly good enough. On an important meeting day, I had to work out of co working space with stable Internet connection. If you're in Bali for business/ workcation, this isn't a villa for you. But if you're here for a vacation, it's good.

We stayed at the Sun Island Villa for our anniversary! To our surprise, they had made up the room really nice and gave us a cake. The staff was extremely friendly and we really enjoyed chatting with them. If you stay here you must do the spa! We LOVED it. The facial and massages were fantastic!!!! It was really nice to just walk out of our room and go right to the spa instead of having to travel a bit for one. Our room was very clean and nice! I would suggest staying here for sure! It was close to everything. There's a restraunt called Grain that is right by it that is worth going to !

We had an amazing stay at Sun Island Seminyak! The photos don’t do the property justice! We stayed in a 1 bedroom pool villa which was the perfect size and we even had room in our garden for morning workouts before breakfast. The staff are extremely tentative and more than happy to help with any questions, they gave us great restaurant recommendations for the area. The villas are good distance from the busy road so you don’t hear anything (not even a taxi horn!) and it’s only a 10 min walk to double six beach. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Bali!

This is the 4th time we have stayed at Sun Island Villas. It's a great location, the villas are just serene and it's very quiet and restful. As always, the staff are so lovely and welcoming, very attentive and you see lots of smiling faces. It's always sad to leave, but we are comforted by the fact that we much look forward to going back to Sun Island soon. We have been to Bali 20 times and this would be one of the best places we have stayed at (and we have experienced some good ones along the way).

A gorgeous, luxurious retreat in the heart of Seminyak. Such a delight to escape the heat, noise and hustle and bustle within just a few steps. The private plunge pool, excellent air-conditioning, included breakfast and complimentary daily high tea were the icing on the top of a modern, clean, comfortable spacious villa.

Beautiful villa, private pool... Great Location only 5 minute walk to bintang supermarket & only a $5 taxi ride into Kuta.. .. Everything about this villa is perfect, for couples or families! Stayed here twice & will always stay here when we come to Bali

Had good impression of the villa prior to our stay however, it was quite a let down. The floor tiles in the room especially the vanity and toilet area should be non slip material. Toilet seat was fitted with a wash let but the device was ill fitting and was a little too small for the toilet bowl . Breakfast selection was limited. The saving grace was the local area.

The pool villas are situated in a nice garden like area. An oasis from the hustle at the busy Seminyak. Nice pool by the little bar. The pools by the villas were a bit small but clean. Ok breakfast. Friendly staff. Very dirty beach so stay away from that! 30 min from the airport. Good area for shopping/restaurants.

The room (3A) though spacious is dated. The water in the shower would not clear off fast enough. They were almost overflowing out of the bathroom. The same bottles of shower gel and shampoo are used which makes me wonder if the refills are indeed what is mentioned in the ingredients. If you like the old charm design, this is the place for you. The staffs do try their best to smile and make an effort but I do doubt if some of them are genuine.

Rooms were nice and staff very nice but that was was it stopped. Breakfast menu - limited, Dinner menu same. Only a few other couples in the restaurant for breakfast, nobody there for lunch or dinner. We did eat there once for dinner but the food was not what we ordered and when we questioned why the spaghetti marinara looked and tasted like spaghetti bolognese the waiter explained it away as the seafood was all mashed-up in the bolognese sauce. The place was empty and there was no atmosphere. A lot of the villas were being renovated at the time so that might explain the lack of atmosphere or why it was so empty. For the price we paid it was probably fair. We also found the villas were constantly being entered by the staff at all times of day and early evening, without notice. Once the villas have been cleaned there should be no reason for staff to go back in there. We put a do not disturb sign on the door one early evening as we had to be up at 2.30 to do the volcano, we got a call from reception at about 8pm asking if we wanted the room sprayed for mosquitos - Do not disturb should mean don't call either. Automatic alarm call from reception didn't work either
