Great villa, great staff. But do some up keep

Location excellent, pool great.

A bit rundown, but they need to do some maintenance, a lick of pant and some new sheets and towels would be a minor expense to spare for overall experience. The sheets and towels are old and yellow which I’m assuming were once white, even get some bleach on them wouldn’t be that hard to do. But staff were excellent, very friendly and polite which made the experience very good.

Not comparable to price and quality of Seminyak Villas

The location was nice and staff were pleasant, although not very responsive to concerns that we shared regarding the dilapidated condition of the property or application of 15% discount on food/drink items (fine print). The location was ok and close to the main Seminyak strip, but roads and sidewalks were under construction at the Singgah Villa location.

The price compared to other comparable private villas was too expensive. Online photos were not reflective of the actual state of the property: cabinets falling off their hinges, bathrooms open to the elements that were rusted with cloudy and cracked vanity mirrors, off color, old towels, inefficient AC unit, moldy smell in closets and room, doors that don’t shut properly, and locks that don’t latch, dirty pool, chemical-stained marble floors, and worn kitchen and appliances. We really wanted to like Singgah Villas, but the same price would have yielded a far better property in Seminyak.

Very disappointing despite brilliant customer service.

The villas are all incredibly dated and need lots of work. If your focus is to spend more time out and about and don’t care about the state of the accommodation you might think it is good value for money but the photos are not true depictions of the current state of the villas. I was lucky to be moved rooms as they had some free but the pool in villa 10 was filthy (you couldn’t see the floor or the walls the water was so murky) but even the new place felt dirty and mouldy. It’s a shame to write such a review because the staff cannot be faulted. Such lovely people, very accommodating and helpful. Just such a shame about the facilities.

The location. The villa was lovely. Very spacious and well laid out. Loved the outside kitchen area.

There was little to no water. We asked about the water pressure on day one and they said they knew there was a problem and would get it fixed. Day 2 still no water and again admitted knowing that villas from 7 onwards had no water pressure. We were told we needed to call reception whenever we needed a shower. We cut our stay short. 6 days with no water wasn’t going to work for us. The pool wasn’t clean.

Cheap and Comfortable

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The food at the cafe out the front was great, inexpensive and they would bring it to your villa.The bed was comfy, pool was clean and the grounds were tidy. For the price we paid for a 2 bdr villa it was quite reasonable. We even had a visting bat high on the ceiling of the open area, we called it Bat Bat who would stay over night. Location was a 7 minute walk to Bintang Supermarket and easy to order a taxi for a quick pick up.

The towels and sheets seemed clean but were no longer white and did have some stains. No towels provided for pool swimming and no bath mat or flannel. The building works at the old Orchard Bar were annoying as the banging was coming through the walls at different times, but tolerable. The villas could do with some TLC but then you would be paying alot more.

The location was a little back from Seminyak but still walking distance. The bed was very hard. You only got one towel. The tv was horrendous like picture quality was terrible tv was small. The kitchen area was not good. Broken fan, light switches broken, some lights not working. Bedroom and Bathroom linen old and tired. The bathroom shower is not great, and the attention to detail is lacking.

The property was in a great location, close to everything. The staff were amazing, extremely helpful, friendly and polite. The restaurant was amazing, everything we ordered was beautiful and very well prepared, we really enjoyed it.

The photos highly exaggerated the condition of the villas, Villa 2 was is urgent need of renovation. Some of the kitchen cupboard doors fell off when opened, some didn’t open at all. The cleanliness wasn’t great, our baby had extremely dirty feet and knees from crawling on the tiles. The pool had too much chlorine and made our skin itch and burnt our eyes.

Run down but convenient .. food was great!

The staff were all very lovely and very helpful. The gardener in particular was the sweetest man and always engaged in conversation without being too much.. A really lovely man. The food was amazing, the restaurant attached did consistently good food regardless of the time of day too. Some of the best meals on our trip were had right there. The location is pretty great to get to the beach or to the Main Street (walking distance to the big supermarket) and there’s massage parlors, a circle K convenience store and a few small cafes in the same street too but it was also far enough away that it’s not outrageously busy. The villas little kitchenette was just what we needed to be able to sterilize baby bottles, feed her outside of regular restaurant/cafe’s hours and prepare her formula too. They provided plenty of drinking water and refilled it whenever we asked. They were also great at working with an external company we hired to have a pool fence installed around the private pool for our peace of mind with our little one.

Everything is getting a little bit on the run down side, its seen better days. It’s pleasant enough but quite dusty and dirty. We had our baby with us and every single time we let her crawl around-whether she was in the enclosed bedrooms or in the open kitchen area she would come up absolutely black with dirt and grime all over her clothes and hands and legs.. like proper filthy. Even though they mopped the floors daily. I’d say its just a Bali thing however our friends had a villa 200m down the street and when we took our bub over into their space to crawl around (which was also an open living area) she was never dirty. I’d also have to say I was extremely disappointed with the laundry service provided at the accommodation. There was 7 of us adults and 2 babies staying in 2 different villas here and we all had bad experiences with it. Almost all of our clothes came back dirty. They smelled good, like they had been washed… but everything was dirty. Especially the baby clothes that were black from crawling in the floors. We used a different laundry service in the same street and everything came back much better. The shower in our villa was also horrible… The other bedrooms shower was fine but we were trying to shower under and 5 sprays of water each spurting in a different direction .. making giving our baby a shower a nightmare especially when we’re trying to ensure she doesn’t get any of the water in her mouth. The attached bathtub also didn’t actually plug properly to fill with water to use instead either.

I stayed in Villa 7. Outside of the room, in the pool space it smelt like sewerage. The smell wasn’t in the outdoor walkway to all the villas, so it appears to be just my villa. The walls in the bathroom were stained and appeared mouldy… the bed sheets were very stained. I thought previous negative reviews exaggerated but they were pretty gross with the stains - of course though, I’m sure it was actually clean. I don’t think I would recommend.. and I am someone who stays in hostels. The place is so outdated. I have stayed in Villa 4 previously and I loved my time there… so this is specifically about villa 7.

The place was so dirty, from pillows, blanket, shower, pool and final straw was the what I hope was makeup on the new towel when we arrived and the cockroaches in the room dead on arrival.. staff offered no apology and proceeded to take an extra nights rate because we chose to leave. Did not offer to clean the villa or say sorry for the trouble just took money..

Location great. nice an quiet away from the hussle and bussle. fantasic cafe and frn tastic pub 2 doors up.

Pool tiles missing and some broken with sharp edges. Pool required more chlorine as green film settled on the wall tiles that I wiped off and you could see where my hand had been. Shame as had a lovely little garden and privacy, and the pool was a perfect size. The staff cleaned the leaves out of it every day. The pool just requires some maintenance as toothe accomadation. Not sure if my below items I have commented about were listed in the inclusions, I suppose I just expected these things as basic. I paid about $150 pn which is a decent amount of money for Bali. No tea towels to dry dishes. No hot water to wash dishes. No Face washer or bathmat. I had to ask for more toilet paper when we had run out, three times. I had to ask for the water bottle to be refilled twice. Ask for Sugar and Coffee. No Milk. I was unable to connect my Netflix account to tv. I required assistance to work the security box and was told only the numbers 369 and hash keys worked. Towels were washed I believe however they were discoloured off white. The bed sheets did not get changed during our 10-night stay. Toilet seat was loose. I’m aware that it’s a humid climate however the smell of damp was heavy in the air. In the bathroom there was mould on the roof and especially near the toilet. We were going asking reception if we could move villas or get a refund and find alternative accommodation. We made the decision to make the most of our situation, as we are not in the position to lose the money we had spent and let alone look for alternate accommodations we were to exhausted from our jobs and just wanted a break from any further dramas, thought positivly. We kept the bathroom door shut and was careful in the pool. and I need to say the staff are only doing their job and they were all lovely. I felt they were doing best they can, and we also didn’t want them to get in any trouble from their Boss. Hindsight, should have taken photos to share with others so they can make better choices.

The pool in singgah 4 looks amazing! I think it’s the one pictured on the website. The pool in singgah 9 and 2 are scary to swim in (mercy water) didn’t want to put our heads under. Singgah 9 has no water in the showers do not trust them to fix this we complained so many times and after the 3rd day and 3rd lot of people coming to fix it we gave up. Fortunately for us we were staying with family who where in singgah 2 and the showers work great in there

Great location and great staff! Lovely little villa

The staff were just beautiful! So friendly and helpful!!! The location is perfect! We will be back! Maintenance is an issue- fan didn't work, cupboard door falls off in kitchen. Broken tile step in pool. Possibly need to use bleach in laundry to keep towels and sheets white. They are good quality sheets but look grey from the water. Also - if two people are staying, it's a good idea that there is two of everything. Lol! And a tea towel to dry dishes. Not big issues- and the staff, food and location make up for these small things.

A delightful stay!

We really enjoyed the privacy and our own space after spending the first part of our holiday in hotels. The staff are super friendly and the villas are clean, well maintained and nicely designed for the price you pay for a more budget villa. We particularly enjoyed cooling off in the splash pool and chilling out in the outdoor area. There is a good selection of tasty food at reasonable prices from their restaurant/room service menu. It was the first time we have stayed at this villa and will definitely return next trip.

Some nights it felt a little warm because the air-con did not flow over the bed because of where air-con is on wall, but I can live with that. Other than that, there is quite a few mosquitoes at certain times of the day so make sure you have some mozzie coils set up around the place and put on repellent.

Good location is very good but the property needs more maintenance

Very good location of the property and near to good restaurants, the staff was really amazing and very friendly. Just walking distance to Starbucks, KFC and Al Jazeera. The owners need to make some investment in renovating the place as it is a very old property with old rooms and bathrooms.

So we took 2 bedroom villa with pool. The condition of private pool was very bad, not properly cleaned or maintained. It was burning my eyes with too much chlorine or some chemical in the water. I couldn't go in the pool for more than 10 minutes. Very old property, issues with bed comfort, pillows.
