I loved the owner Dora. She is very sweet and took a lot of effort to make sure I was comfortable. The garden is lovely and had it been a summer trip, I would have spent more time out. The room is very clean. The bathroom is also very cute. The kitchen is always stocked with food and beverages, so it is a big relief for when one comes from a long day. The room is also very comfortable. The heater comes on and off automatically, so its nice and toasty when you need it to be. She explains the keys very well. Her system of exit, is very convenient because opening the gates when you leave is accessed electric switches. She also explained the location very nicely. It made life easy for me. I was hungry after a delayed trip from Rome and did not have to wait very long to find a place to eat. She arranged a fixed-fare cab for me for the airport when I was leaving. This was a big relief because the taxi drivers in Naples are awful and there's no uber, so it can be a pain to negotiate with them. She also arranged for my laundry to be taken care of at a nominal price. Location wise, it is very close to the Naples National Archaeological Museum, two metro stations (which are not very useful in Naples because Metros are connected very weirdly) and within walking distance of a castle from which you can get a view of the city. So being a central point it becomes easy for pick ups and drop offs. She has an adorable dog named Dylan and since I love dogs for me that is always an added source of comfort.

Okay so now the real stuff: Location: Her house is located inside a labyrinth of narrow streets (which I guess is very Napoli in it's own way). If you are coming on your own, you WILL get lost without google maps. Furthermore, I took a cab and the street is so narrow, you cannot wait very long, so you have to rush. The entry: If you are a solo traveler, carrying heavy luggage as I was, please be warned, the BnB is located inside what can be described as an apartment complex and even though the rooms are on the ground floor, you have to drag or haul luggage over a very uncomfortable series of steps from the main gate to her property gate, and from the property front door and to the room. There was no explanation as to how to ring at the main gate, given in advance , so I had to figure it out on my own. There is no bell at the property gate and I was stuck there waiting for a long time. Housekeeping and room: NO daily housekeeping, though in booking.com it was not mentioned as such. NO safe. The cupboards are not really convenient. For these reasons, I don't think I will stay there again if I am on a long trip. Bathroom: The shower curtain is useless - it kept blowing off, leaving me to struggle with a lot of water overflowing in the bathroom floor and eventually into the room. I had to deal with mopping it up.
