Everything exceeded our expectations here! We stayed for a quiet, childless weekend and enjoyed the clean pool, hot tub, large clean room, very friendly and helpful staff and a mostly quiet stay. We thought the breakfast was going to be your typical small hotel options but this one was great! So much to choose from and all tasted great. The seating filled up quickly in the breakfast area but there's not much they could do about that. The only thing we weren't impressed with was the shower head in our room. It was actually quite sad how poorly it worked 😄 I would highly recommend this hotel/location to anyone and will definitely go back.

The queen suite, we thought would be a whole separated room within the hotel room but it was open above the doors to the ceiling, and the tv was outside of the doors on the opposite wall, so had to keep the doors open to watch the tv at night - sort of defeated the purpose of having a separate sleeping space from the kids. Kitchenette was roomy and the breakfast was excellent, hot, well stocked and good variety. An enjoyable stay!

We booked this hotel at the end of a long road trip before going home. We specifically booked due to the amenities listed. We only wanted a hotel with a pool for our kids (to swim the afternoon we arrived and again in the morning before another day in the car) and a hot tub for us as we were very exhausted. These were the only amenities we cared about. We had several choices along our route, and booked this hotel due to a positive experience in the past. When we arrived, there was a sign up that the hot tub was closed for maintenance and the hotel pool would be closed the following day. It was too late to cancel our booking without a fee. Our kids were able to swim in the afternoon, but there were swim lessons happening in the same pool at the same time, which was inhibitive. For the price point, we would have never booked this hotel if we knew the amenities weren’t fully available. While the hotel was nice otherwise, we chose it based on false pretences. We won’t be returning with our kids in the future without calling ahead, which defeats the purpose of using a website like hotels.com for ease of use.

We loved our time at the Best Western Hotel! It truly was a little vacation place, with a full, delicious, yummy breakfast. Access to the pool all day brought nothing but joy to my kids faces, and our room was always tidy at the end of our day each day we came back from our days out. Thanks for making our trip to the island one to never forget!

My wife and I were on vacation on Vancouver Island. We stayed in Chemainus because it was less expensive than Victoria and an easy drive to the Gardens and other outdoor adventures. The hotel property is near the highway exit but far enough away that it was a quite property. It was busy and seemed full most of the time we were there. The overall property was clean and the area around it walkable. The downtown area was within walking distance and had several local places to eat. The pool area was clean although the hot tub was closed when we were there. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodated. I received a call from the front desk after check-in to make sure everything was ok and to confirm I got into my room ok. We would stay at this hotel again for our next trip to the island.
