The Nefeli Hotel offers a pleasant stay with comfortable rooms, good amenities, and friendly staff. The rooms were generally clean, although there was a noticeable presence of mold, which could be a concern for some guests. The on-demand hot water, hairdryer, AC, and TVs (though a bit small) were functional and convenient.
The breakfast was a highlight, with a varied selection of tasty food that changed daily. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making guests feel welcome. While the pool is on the smaller side, it's a nice addition, although there could be more pool beds available.
One disappointment was the lack of a breakfast area that could be converted into a restaurant. However, this is mitigated by the proximity of several restaurants within walking distance that offer great views. The grilled food was delicious but overpriced, which was a bit of a letdown.
The hotel's location is a major drawback. The steep hill and narrow road can be challenging for cars and vans, especially if there's oncoming traffic. This can be problematic for guests using shared ride services, as they may be dropped off some distance away, requiring guests to hike uphill with luggage. It's advisable to avoid shared rides and opt for a taxi or car rental for direct access to the hotel.
While the hotel offers tours for sightseeing, having a car would provide more flexibility and independence. Overall, the Nefeli Hotel is a decent option, but potential guests should be aware of the location's challenges and consider their transportation needs carefully.
