We were supposed to stay at this hotel for 5 nights (June 25–30) but had to leave immediately after checking in because the room was completely uninhabitable. Upon entering the room, we found cockroaches, the cleanliness was extremely poor, and the overall condition of the room was nowhere near what was shown online. The neighborhood was also shockingly unsafe — it felt threatening even during the day, and definitely not a place where travelers should feel comfortable staying. We immediately contacted the hotel through email to report the issue, but received no reply whatsoever. Then we reached out to Expedia, who contacted the hotel on our behalf — only to be told the hotel refuses to offer a refund, despite the health and safety issues we encountered. This is completely unacceptable. We paid for 5 nights and received zero value, as the conditions made it impossible to stay even one night. The hotel did not offer to move us to another room or show any concern about the cockroach problem or the unsafe environment. We travel often and have never had to walk out of a hotel before — this was a first, and we’re shocked this property is even listed on Expedia or any reputable platform. ⸻ Avoid this hotel. It is not safe, not clean, and the management does not take responsibility.

Terrible experience. Dirty room including carpet, wondows, shower, bed etc. Very far from the Paris centre. No transportation links, the nearest train station in 45 mins walk. No resturant for lunch. Evening meal was only the buffet option and starts 6pm.

The attendants were lovely, however there are a few changes that should be corrected on the Expedia app. This hotel does not have a pool. This made my trip difficult as I booked the hotel for the quiet and safe location with the expectation of being able to give my child breaks from the August heat in the pool. The hotel is close to the zoo which is lovely for families, but be aware that the windows do not lock well and have no protectors or screens so would not be safe for younger children. The cleaners do an excellent job but the hotel is in need of updates.

Very nice stay. Staff are friendly, hotel was clean. Shops and cafes near by. Metro stop a 10 minute walk away. Lovely river view and nice to walk along. Would stay again. Only issue was Expedia stated there was in indoor/outdoor pool. I asked the staff about this and they advised there is definitely no pool at this hotel. I hope that Expedia has changed the description now :)

I was in Nogent to attend a friend's wedding and needed somewhere local to stay, and Hotel Campanile Nogent Sur Marne suited my needs perfectly. It was very close to the venue of the wedding and was in a very scenic little area by the river.

It's a cheap hotel, you get what you pay for. Beds are not that comfy, had no AC. Staff were nice, wasn't dirty so nothing 'wrong', just nothing great either.

The hotel is in bad shape, walls and doors a bit battered. Nice area. Cleaning personnel work hard, but seem to be harangued (harcelé) by the young man who supervises them. I wouldn't go back.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The breakfast was very tasty and good value. I would like to make a special mention regarding Tetiana who worked on the reception desk, she was very attentive & professional. However, all staff were a pleasure & looked after me exceptionally well.

This is a good place if you speak french and are looking to have a basic room while staying outside of the popular Paris attraction areas. The night shift/late afternoon staff was very friendly and the maid service was very good. My advice for any english speaking travelers is to avoid this hotel and to stay in the city center where the main attractions are and english as a second language is spoken more. Almost all guests were french/french speaking so i assume not alot of English-speaking travelers stay here often. The night/afternoon shift gentleman (possible manager) speaks enough english that you will understand him well, but the morning staff's english is not there and they were not very welcoming/friendly as the afternoon/night shifts! We had a very stressful and disastrous checkout due to the lack of English between all 3 people at the front desk, unfriendliness/lack of care, and communication/notes on our room between the different shifts.
