Very clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds, good ac, nice towels, nice robe (only one robe). Opaline was delicious for dinner and breakfast.

The Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square is an elegant and well-located hotel that delivers a distinctly upscale experience. It has an excellent location near the White House, stylish French-inspired décor, cleanliness and friendly, attentive staff. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed, with the hotel offering a calm and sophisticated atmosphere in the heart of Washington.
The only challenge I had was not being able to chromecast via my iPhone.
Overall: A very good choice for a stylish city stay, particularly if location and atmosphere are important to you. It feels more refined and boutique-like than many large Washington hotels, although expectations should be tempered slightly if you’re looking for flawless five-star service.
