    In just 2 min from San marco, but at the same time in quite place. Staff was very nice and helpful.

    GOOD: Overall we had a good experience at the hotel, but not great! Stayed only two nights, was received with a hearty welcome and complementary option to book an outing to the glass factory on island, which include a boat pickup as well, all free of charge. That was a WOW for us (no obligation to buy as well); and out all day to explore the famous Venice! BAD: Rooms are issued with an aircon, but is managed by the hotel and they make it tooo hot! Its 14°C outside, and feels like 30° inside... and you cant open the windows for fresh air, then one have to stomach the stinking fumes from either the rubish bins outsode, or it is the water!! Either way, we felt early morning getting ready for breakfast, that we are sufficating! Very Poor Ventilation! Perhaps its just our room (corner 503) but indeed, that was só frustrating. Then, unfortunately the UGLY: Second morning for breakfast, I asked their staff for a teaspoon for the coffee (did not see any) and she got adjutated and rude, with hand gestures to the dessert spoons! I asked her again, do you not understand english...?! She kept on speaking to me in italian, referring me to the big spoons by hand, very irritable. So I raised my voice and said no, one dont stir coffee woth a big spoon, I need a small spoon, showed her a tiny one, half the size of a big one, when by that time an iyalian guest came past, telling her what it should be (I assume) then she walked accross the room and fetch the spoons behind the flask, in small box, ztill with rude hand gesturez!! So, this hotel is a 4 star, international hotel and english should be the common understandable language there, yet the staff did not know what a teaspoon or small dpoon was, and got very rude and alembarresed me infront of all the guests, when I asked in english for a teaspoon.... so yeah, not nice at all!!! Will I go back there... I highly doubt it. I did mention this to the reception staff at the time, who apologised and undertook to take it up with management, at least.
