I understand that it’s the off season and that’s when properties do updating. The bed sheets were clean, burn holes on the bed spread, ceiling paint was peeling, tub needed to be refinished or replaced. But the view was perfect, right on the boardwalk. Office staff was nice and I got a refund for the one night I didn’t stay.

This is a typical oceanside hotel at Virginia Beach. Many old fixtures and rooms that could use a makeover but you can see they are trying. What made this a 5 star stay was the hot water in the shower and the water PRESSURE.
Most places we have stayed have had enough warm water but abysmal water pressure.
The location is a block from one of our favorite places(Murphys) and only a 3 block walk to the Neptune Statue where there is a bandstand and live entertainment and Catch 31 for sri KS and outdoor fireplaces to sit around.
I would stay here again.
