The room was clean and comfortable. Bianca was incredibly helpful during our stay.
The only downside was the water temperature ran a little cold and if you want daily turndown service you likely have to request it.

This is a refurbished stately old hotel, with huge rooms and a very friendly staff.
It's about a half mile from the French quarter and much quieter (Lafayette park is right next door).
There's an excellent restaurant kitty- corner and a well regarded steak house next door within the building. There's also a very good grocery store two blocks away which has a good selection of wines and beers and take out foods.
