Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa

If we could give 20 stars we would! Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Our room and the entire hotel sparkled. The staff was so polished, yet so friendly and approachable. We had delightful food in the bar and restaurant. The grounds are so beautiful. We can hardly wait to return!

Excellent service but the hotel is old, the HVAC system was not great and the bathroom faucet was faulty, carpet is old.

Great one night getaway

Disappointing Stay That Fell Short of Four-Star Standards I had higher expectations for a property advertised as a four-star hotel. A true four-star experience is defined by exceptional service, thoughtful amenities, and overall quality — not merely by the price. Unfortunately, this stay did not reflect that standard. While the accommodations were adequate, there was nothing distinctive or memorable about the experience. Nearly every amenity came with an additional charge, which diminished the sense of value. Parking was an extra fee despite the hotel’s location in an area with ample space. Breakfast was not included, and complimentary coffee was only available until 8:30 a.m. — a surprising policy, as most hotels provide coffee service at least through the morning hours. The resort fee was particularly disappointing, as it did not appear to include any meaningful amenities. Access to the spa incurred an additional cost even for guests, and the steam room was out of service during my stay. Overall, this property did not meet the expectations typically associated with a four-star rating. The experience felt more focused on additional charges than on guest comfort or service quality.
